Leading & driving regional commercial initiatives for IHG Canada estate

Regional Vice President- Commercial, Marketing & Revenue Management

I lead the RM strategy for the region and the plans to support delivery of a profitable top line commercial performance.  The role involves partnership with wider stakeholders to establish robust strategies with clear measures and action plan. 

My role requires to support and collaborate with Global Revenue Management, Finance, Sales, Digital Marketing, Distribution, IT, Loyalty and Partnership teams in key projects and initiatives to support "Enterprise Value" growth. Driving innovation is a critical part of the job as I have lead some of the most challenging and exciting projects in the region that involved creating new solutions, pitching business cases for product development or to drive investment in particular field that impacts IHG's top line and/or system fee revenues. Communication to Senior Leadership Team is provided on regular basis on progress of key initiatives and I am also involved in the Regional Monthly Business Reviews to review commercial performance.

As a RM leader I have looked at developing key process changes, pivoting and build a system-agnostic RM team to increase productivity, efficiency and to support teams with revenue generating and optimizing initiatives. 

I actively engage with the franchisee and managed community throughout the region to enhance overall performance of the hotels.

Senior Director Revenue Management- IMEA

Lead the Revenue Management Performance and Analytics across 3 sub-regional offices, 40 countries and 500+ hotels spread over Asia Middle East and Africa. As an extension of my previous role and responsibility, I worked with the senior leadership team to provide Strategic and Tactical Revenue Management direction to the sub regional teams. As part of the global transition from Holidex to IHG Concerto, I was actively involved in creating our pricing strategy, working on new rate products and optimizing distribution systems to facilitate the roll out of our regional channel strategy.

This was a business transformation role using data and analytics. Responsible for establishing, executing and delivery of insights and performance data to Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management and other AMEA stakeholders. Established Tableau as the BI platform for Analytics in AMEA region and successfully moved majority of reports to this new platform cutting out extensive man hours in the process.
