As an account manager I was responsible for creating new customer contacts and assisting them in building a technology roadmap for their audio visual technologies and identifying opportunities for improvements.  With a virtually limitless number of product options available through our global portfolio we are able to engage multiple solution experts to ensure ideal functionality and promote user adoption while wrapping an extensive customer support offer around our entire solution set.

DataVox

DataVox is a privately-held corporation based in Houston with accomplished and mature practices in Collaboration, Information Technology, Data Center, Structure Cabling, Physical Security, Managed Services and Audio Visual solutions. Established 30 years ago and initially focused on telecom yet over the years has expanded to encompass almost any solution connecting to an IP network. Recently has successfully expanded into North Texas with two offices in the DFW area. 

As a Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) I was responsible for having extended or expert knowledge on the technology/solutions that fall under the Building Technology Solutions (BTS) portfolio.  The primary areas of focus for BTS included but were not limited to: Power and Cooling, Building Automation Systems, Emergency Notification and Mass notification, Sound Masking, Public Safety DAS, Cellular DAS & IOT Sensor Solutions.

The purpose of my role was to increase customer awareness, quoting activity and overall sales in the BTS division.  This was accomplished through individual and joint efforts such as:
o	Account Manager Support – I served in a support role to each account manager as an extension of their sales efforts.  Met w/ each account manager on a regular cadence to review existing bids & account activity to identify BTS opportunities within the account manager's existing customer base and bid activity.
o	Generation of New Opportunities – A large part of my weekly activity was spent looking for new opportunities where DataVox was not already engaged. I achieved this by reviewing bid invites, exploring existing relationships with GC's, expanding existing relationships w customers & through networking activities with vendors, partners, manufacturers, & industry contacts.

Technical Sales Specialist

As an Enterprise Account Manager my primary responsibility was to cultivate and develop our relationship with approximately 50-60 of our key accounts.  

Responsibilities:
- Educate customers on industry trends, new relevant products and services, 
- Adding new customer logos through networking and referrals.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations & sales contracts.
- Customer Service - address, escalate and work to resolve any customer issue or concern
- Collaborate with solution architects, project manager & operations team to share project requirements to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Sales Development & Product Education - Continue to train and develop sales skills & knowledge of new technologies
- Prepare & Deliver Product/Solution Presentations
- Solution Discovery and Site Survey to uncover solution requirements and assess existing environment
- Maintain/Update Weekly & Monthly Sales forecast via Microsoft CRM
- Attend and facilitate marketing events that are presented by the company.
- Maintain Sales certifications: Cisco/Meraki, HPE, Palo Alto, Sophos, Nimble, Nutanix, Cohesity, APC, Schneider Electric, VMware

Sales Portfolio included:  VoIP (Premise & Cloud), Networking, Cyber Security, O365, SOCaaS, Servers,  Storage/Backup, VMware, Wireless, Physec Access Control, Video Surveillance, Audio Visual Solutions, Video Conferencing, Web Collaboration, Cloud Solutions, cabling as well as professional services to support each technology.

Enterprise Account Manager

As the Client Relations Manager I was responsible for managing a sales team of six individuals who were responsible for supporting our existing customer accounts.  At the time our sales team was divided into 2 groups: Existing Customer Accounts & Acquisition Sales (New Accounts).  The Client Relations team was responsible for all sales activity for our existing customers.  Customer account responsibility was divided according to customer size.  I was responsible for our larger Enterprise accounts and two other team members shared the remaining Medium and Small Business accounts.  A 4th team member was responsible for selling and maintaining service agreements and maintenance contracts and a 5th team member was a marketing specialist who regularly contacted the customer base to generate new activity for the team.

As the the department manager I served in a dual role supporting & managing the team and also as a salesperson responsible for my own sales goals and quota.  As a manager I assisted the team in customer calls/meetings, solution demos and proposal deliveries.  I provided instruction and advice on solution design, pricing strategies, discount approval, problem resolution, account management and general sales methodologies.  I trained and mentored each team member in their role and helped them to achieve their sales and career goals.  As a salesperson I produced my own solution designs, pricing, scopes of work, quotes and contracts and regularly exceeded my monthly and yearly sales quota.

Client Relations Team increased Total Sales Year over Year 8 out of 10 years.

Worldlink

WorldLink was a Internet Startup company whose primary focus was on Live Streaming of both audio and video content.  WorldLink was also the first Windows NT based ISP in Houston.  

As the Sales Manager I was responsible for business development, sales strategy, product positioning and pricing, proposal generation and delivery, project provisioning to operations team, project management, customer service and account management.  In addition I helped to maintain partner relationships with Compaq, Sony, 104 KRBE Radio and Rock 101 KLOL.

Career Highlights:
•	Successfully landed high profile corporate project for Dynegy for a live internet video broadcast of their rebranding launch in 1998.
•	Integral in the planning and execution of the company's most celebrated Live Internet Audio broadcast of the nationally syndicated radio show "Rock Line" featuring Van Halen promoting the release of their album Van Halen III.
•	Increased revenue and scope of the project to launch the 1st live internet broadcast of Horse Racing in the United States.

Sales Manager

I am the least "salesy" salesperson that you will ever meet.   With 20+ years of experience in account management supporting midmarket and enterprise customers across every vertical I am a veteran sales professional.  Our family relocated to Denver from Houston in 2020 at the height of the Global Pandemic.  I definitely wouldn't recommend do that BTW. 😁 I am excited to form new social/business relationships here.

I am a natural communicator who thrives on interaction with customers and coworkers. My conversational, yet methodical, approach to sales allows me to build lasting relationships with my customers and helps to remove obstacles from the sales process by fostering mutual trust and respect.
