One in ten jobs in the North West are now in the creative and digital industries. The purpose of UTC@MediaCityUK is to swell the pool of talent for the industry to recruit from. My role is to help UTC@MediaCityUK bring the gap between the creative digital industry and the next generation of it's workers. 

Why? 

Because the creative and digital industries depend on innovation, so it’s vital that skills continually evolve. Yet it’s also widely accepted that there’s a shortage of people with the necessary abilities – whether academic, technical or practical – to meet the industries’ needs.

Talking Egg Foundation

As the Executive Director for Talking Egg, a charitable foundation established by the creators of World Record Egg, I led strategic activations and creative content development to raise funding and awareness for mental health. By bringing together people, culture, brands and causes, our foundation aimed to redefine the global narrative around mental health and give a voice to the millions who experience it.

I successfully partnered with world-recognized charities, brands and experts in the field to create impactful campaigns, such as #TalkingEgg, which encouraged individuals to share their personal experiences with mental health and promoted resources and information on the topic. My skills in campaign development, partnership building, and social media management were instrumental in the structuring of Talking Egg's mission to raise awareness and funds for mental health.

As Commercial Director at Beano Studios, I successfully led the company's efforts to monetise its various creative endeavours, including it’s digital platform, live theatrical experience and the beloved comic and annual.
