Five years ago, I pissed off a CISO so badly in front of my CMO, he helped me build a $1M+ cybersecurity buyer intelligence business. That humiliating moment during a website messaging feedback session? Best career move I ever made. Here's the uncomfortable truth about B2B tech marketing most won't tell you:

Most marketers create buyer personas in echo chambers instead of interviewing real buyers to get direct buyer insights. They're selling to fictional characters while their actual prospects choose competitors.

I learned this the hard way when a CISO, my customer, publicly destroyed me for using a buzzword out of context. At that time, I'd never actually talked to a single security leader about their real problems.

Instead of defending my approach, I asked him for coffee to learn why I upset him. That conversation led to thousands of conversations with CISOs, security architects, and IT leaders who taught me what B2B marketers get dangerously wrong about technical and business buyers.

As Franchise Program Sales Manager, my goal is to increase our market share through the channel.  I focus on refreshing current house accounts with new services and approaches taken by our team of channel sales consultants.  I work with multiple departments to brainstorm, create, go to market with and implement new technologies and services that we can sell to our end users. In addition to managing my own sales funnel, I am responsible for training and motivating channel sales consultants to increase market share and cultivate the highest level of customer satisfaction.

As Channel Sales Team Leader at Nuspire Networks, a large focus is to continuously increase our market share through the channel by working with a team of people in order to ensure that our end-users are receiving the best and most precise information regarding our managed security services. In addition to managing my own sales funnel, I am responsible for training and motivating fellow team members to not only increase market share, but also the ultimate achievement of creating successful customer satisfaction.  I work with a variety of departments to take part in marketing initiatives, product offering initiatives and training processes for the inside channel.

Channel Sales Team Lead

My goals are pretty straightforward: to use my knowledge, my determination, strength of purpose and drive to further my sales career while still focusing on maintaining the level of trust needed to sustain great relationships with my clients.  

As a Senior Channel Executive at Nuspire Networks, I focus mainly on increasing our market share, primarily through the channel.  I work with several of our end-clients on their network infrastructure with an emphasis on network security and compliance.  I interact with a variety of customers and vendors (some technical, some non-technical) throughout this process.  I also take part in marketing/messaging initiatives for the inside channel.  I work in a fast paced team environment, with customer satisfaction always being the end goal.
