It took me back to school when my brain misfired and I called the teacher "mum" in front of the class. Instant silence, followed by raucous laughter.

This Reddit exchange is the grown-up version.

A tiny, unfiltered human moment slipping out in a professional setting. 

And instead of awkwardness, it’s met with kindness.

That’s worth celebrating.

We spend so much time polishing ourselves to sound impressive, competent, and in control. 

And yet the moments people remember are when we accidentally let the human through.

Here to write. If it goes viral, it’s not because of me. It’s because it’s true.

My boss’s phone started ringing.

We were mid-conversation in his office. Nothing dramatic. Just catching up.

This was years ago, back when phones were plugged into walls, so you really noticed them when they rang. 

He just let it ring.

After a few rings I said, half joking, “Are you going to get that?”

He didn’t even glance at it. Just said, “This is more important.”

That was it.

I was young. Fresh out of uni. He was genuinely busy. 

But in that moment, he made it clear I wasn’t an interruption. I was the priority.

I honestly can’t remember what we talked about next. I never found out who was calling or what it was about. 

What stuck was the feeling. Being taken seriously. Being worth his attention.

That’s the difference I’ve noticed over the years.

Some managers talk to you when they have free time.

Leaders free their time to talk to you.

I want to master LinkedIn. 
Everyday I study top creators. 
They have these 5 things in common:

1️⃣ They’re known for 1 main thing
    - Consistent with their messaging
    - You know what they’re on about
Justin Welsh - Solopreneurship 
Lara Acosta - LinkedIn growth 
Jasmin Alić - Community focused 
Sophie Miller - Making socials simple 

2️⃣ Their content is easy to digest
    - No long confusing words
    - No reading between the lines
    - My brain “enjoys” their content

3️⃣ They use recognition with education
    - Posts are written for readers
    - People engage when they feel seen
    - Content makes the reader say “that’s me”

4️⃣ They balance storytelling + authority 
    - “Normal” enough to trust them
    - Authoritative enough to be inspired
    - Combines credibility and connection

5️⃣ They show more than tell
    - Less “do this”
    - More “by doing this”
    - Applicable over generic advice

These aren’t hacks. 
It’s what separates the top creators from the rest.

Your 2026 goals are going to fail…

I know because I wasted a year reading 100 books

That year felt amazing:

─ Every day I was “learning”
─ Highlighting pages
─ Saving quotes

But nothing changed:

─ No momentum
─ No results
─ No growth

Just a busy mind…

To tell you the truth, that whole year was mental masturbation…

Consuming instead of committing. Out of fear. Fear I’d try and fail

The year after, I changed one thing:

I read 10 books. Not 100.

But this time:

• I took real notes
• I built mind maps
• I picked one idea per book
• I applied it immediately, even when it felt sloppy

No hoarding knowledge. No pretending to be productive

That year, my business tripled.

Not because the books were better…
But because I finally showed up

It’s the beginning of a new year…

You may have already set your goals

And if you want to actually make them work 

You must make sure they aren’t 

─ Goals that just keep you busy
─ Goals that sound impressive
─ Goals that look good in public

If your goals only change how busy you look, not how you act, they won’t change your results

If your strategy requires destroying the thing everyone depends on,

If your “big idea” can’t survive basic questions,
it’s not 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺—it’s 𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺.


𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸.

You don’t need a shocking stunt, a gimmick, 
or a moon-sized metaphor.

You need a CLEAR purpose,
a reader you actually CARE about, and
a message that makes their world BETTER—not blown up.


So before you launch your next “genius idea” (or your book), 
pause and ask:

🌝  Does this serve the people I’m responsible for?
🌝  Would I be proud of this decision 10 years from now?
🌝  Am I building something lasting—or just trying to make noise?

Lead like the moon matters.
Write like your reader does too.

There was a time I showed up on LinkedIn with a lot of doubt and very little confidence

I had ideas but no clarity, skill but no visibility

Logging in and seeing others grow while I questioned myself

Some days felt embarrassing because even if my post barely moved, I’d still post again


But I stayed

Not because LinkedIn was easy or because results came quickly

I stayed because quitting would have meant agreeing with every voice that said, 

You’re not seen because you’re not enough


But slowly, things changed.. People started responding

Clients started reaching out and opportunities started coming quietly which shows that my voice started finding its place


Today, this number says 9,000 but what I really see is 9,000 moments where someone chose to stay with me.

No that's a lie.

Actually everyone here is fake.

They just want to try and sell you something. 

Whether direct or indirect.

People who have communities or sell you on how to grow cheat themselves by being in pods or other means against TOS...

Only to not include or tell you that in their cohort, community or paid courses or pay virtual assistants. 

When I was here, I tried to have fun and sold nothing.

This place has gotten more bland.

Grifters bother me.

If you profit off of cheating your engagement or off selling someone an unattainable dream, you are that.
