- Flew 500 hours in multiple aircraft from single-engined piston aircraft to advanced jet aircraft.

- Daily exposure to operating in high-stress environments and prioritising extremely high workloads whilst ensuring sortie goals were achieved and maintaining the extra mental capacity to react to an ever-changing environment.

- Regular sole responsibility for multi-million-pound aircraft whilst operating in extremely taxing and challenging situations.

- Coordinated regularly with many stakeholders from multiple agencies and nations both airborne and ground-based to ensure sortie aims were achieved safely and efficiently. This also required excellent skills in resource management, planning and organisation, as well as an ability to undertake risk management to mitigate potential safety issues.

- Selected to mentor and instruct Air Cadets and University Air Squadron personnel aged between 12 and 21 on flying and navigational techniques. This consisted of being in command of the aircraft and ensuring the safety of the student, aircraft and other air users whilst concurrently teaching and observing the students' performance. Also reviewing the outcomes to ensure the student had reached a required standard in line with published documentation.
