Create and design the Data Strategy for Investec Specialist Bank, and develop the measurement framework to track maturity and progress.

Operational and Strategic management of the Business Intelligence & Operational Analytics capability within Private Bank. Identify and test Machine learning use cases and implementation of the models within Private Bank South Africa. 

Refactor and design of business intelligence data architecture. Implementation of auto data warehousing to ensure delivery of data consistency and efficiency within the environment.

Developed and introduced a new reporting methodology and mechanism which integrates multiple measures within one interface to increase data utilisation and management of day-to-day activities. It also allows Management to see the impact of decisions and track the success rate of strategic priorities in a very short space of time. Recommendations for corrective actions with probability of success are also shown based on Predictive Model outputs.

Debt Collection Predictive Model - Developed and implemented a collectability model for Debt Collection; the model enables debt collectors to work on debt cases with the highest probability of payment, thereby reducing the total case load and increase efficiency. The implementation of this model brought on a new era in the way the organisation utilises information and analytics to improve processes and performance.

Assisted the World Bank with a Macro Economic modelling exercise regarding the effectiveness of Corporate tax incentives in the current tax system. The outcome of the study was used as input to the Davis Tax Committee on possible tax reform changes.

Provide insight to Executive & Senior management on possible behavioural shifts of taxpayers and changes in submission and payment patterns, quantify future risk factors with probability of occurrence and highlight possible solutions.

Developed and managed the Submission Forecast models used to track submissions of Taxpayers and Employers during both filing seasons. The Filing Season submissions and Forecasts are the official view of the filing seasons in the organisation. 

Provide career mentoring and shaping of BEE talent to ensure optimal fit and results for the division and organisation. Responsible for management of a team of analysts, specialist and data engineers driving the strategic direction of future projects.

End-to-end Costing and Profitability

Designed, implemented and produced the product profitability reports, which included all Capital, Funding, Revenue and cost components for each product.

Established a process to ensure a central view of the Bank’s product profitability was done at Group Finance Divisional level.

Transfer Pricing

Key role player in the Design, management and execution of the Central Transfer Pricing model to determine the Inward Transfer Pricing for all Clusters. The results were crucial in ensuring the financial statements of the bank were correctly portrayed.

For 25+ years, I’ve worked at the intersection of people, performance, and potential—first in banking, then through consulting, leadership training, and career development. I crunched a lot of numbers and shaped countless careers along the way.

A thread has run through all of it: the way personal beliefs and behaviors shape outcomes. That curiosity eventually led me to one of the most overlooked drivers of our lives—our relationship with money.

I discovered that money isn’t just about numbers. Our stories, emotions, and personalities around money often matter more than income or investment products. Understanding this is the real foundation for financial freedom and fulfillment.

This journey has inspired my upcoming book and the creation of the Money Relationship Profiling Tool (MRPT©), a framework that helps people uncover their unique MoneyDNA, their position on the Money Hierarchy, and align financial decisions with who they truly are.

Many of you know me from my banking days in South Africa. Others from my entrepreneurial journey, or from my time in the UAE where I moved into consulting and professional education. And for some, this might be our first interaction.

While I’m still deeply passionate about CX and developing others, I’ll admit this openly: creating the Money Relationship Profiling Tool has been one of the most fascinating projects of my career.

I spend a lot of time talking to people about money (yes, it can get uncomfortable 😅). What continues to surprise me is how differently we all experience it — the meanings we attach to it, the emotions it triggers, and the stories it carries.

That curiosity eventually turned into a book project, which I started three years ago. Some of you have been part of that journey as beta readers, and your feedback has been incredibly valuable. I’m still deciding on the publishing path, but… watch this space 💫
