Helped to co-found Boomer Home Loans, a specialist fintech lender for people over 55, after recognising the glaring need to incorporate the family home in whole-of-wealth retirement planning.

Collaborated with the R&D department to complete my honours through the industry. The project involved working on a water based novel composite polymer; studying it’s rheological properties to identify the best homogenisation process for future up-scaling from it’s current lab scale.

Process Engineering (Honours Project)

A purely technical experience in the heart of resin manufacturing. My role involved 3 major audits involving natural gas, nitrogen used on site and finally waste water from resin manufacture. As a result of my findings, the company is able to enjoy cost savings as well as explore cleaner alternatives that can be used on site. Working full-time on a manufacturing site, I was able to work on many other process related problems on the day-to-day and understand the significance of safety as an Engineer.

The role involved research into certain consumer needs, working on product improvement, strategising product placement within the Australian market and essentially working through the stage gate process.

I had the pleasure of working with PPG industries as an intern where I got to lead my own project. My focus was on studying the entire paint product life cycle and therefore proposing more effective alternatives along the life cycle in line with sustainable practises. One of the focus areas involved waste water treatment and gaining a further insight into what is currently done in the paints and coatings industry and what the engineering team is working on. Working as part of the product management team, I devised proposals for future projects which could add further value to the current PPG products and  also work on any viable innovations that would add value to PPG as a whole.
