Product copy & descriptions should not be an afterthought.

After all, they’re a prime place to sprinkle in differentiated brand personality, and because they’re close to the point of conversion, they have a direct financial impact on sales. 

In fact, research conducted by the Nielsen Norman Group found that copy that does not answer shoppers’ questions leads to not only cart abandonment for that specific purchase, but to abandonment of the entire site. 

So let it be known that optimized product descriptions are an important part of the conversion journey, and not simply a "nice-to-have."
