Initially, the crude oil is gathered at the wellhead, where it's extracted from the earth and then transported to a loading facility. The crude oil is transferred at the loading facility into specially designed, robust rail tank cars that comply with safety and environmental standards. These rail cars are assembled into a train that transports the oil long distances to its destination. The crude oil is unloaded and processed into various petroleum products upon reaching the refinery. Crude-by-rail operations offer flexibility in terms of destinations. They are often used when pipeline capacity is insufficient or nonexistent, creating market arbitrage if you can get to better markets. These operations' scale, efficiency, and safety are continually advanced through technological innovations and regulatory measures.

As I stepped into this new role, I felt excited and purposeful, ready to exceed their expectations by using my abilities to their fullest potential.

Throughout my playing career, I was fortunate to have mentors who appeared at the right time. Louie Aguar was one of them. When I needed to improve my punting skills, Louie stepped in to provide the guidance and support I needed. His coaching was pivotal in my growth, helping me achieve an impressive hang time of six seconds. Louie didn't just make me a better player; he transformed me into a punter who could hang a ball in the air for the time it takes to read this sentence.

During the 2010 season, my deep snapper, Ryan Pontbriant, became my best friend on the team. Our collaboration that season created a profound and cherished connection between us. Looking back, I feel a mixture of bittersweet emotions. That season was our final opportunity to stand together on the field, with our hearts racing with adrenaline and both of us focused on achieving our shared goal. We experienced victories, losses, and countless moments that strengthened our bond on and off the field. Even after experiencing life without football, our bond has remained unbroken, even when our lives have taken different paths.

I still remember the day when Lovie Smith, a fellow Texan, signed me to the Chicago Bears. His friendly demeanor and warm handshake made the moment feel like a homecoming rather than a formal contract signing. It was both a professional and personal milestone, marked by the camaraderie and mutual respect I encountered that day.

The  Bears has always been a team that values a deep connection with its players, largely due to the dedicated involvement of its owners, the McCaskey family. One of the most memorable sights at the practice grounds was the matriarch navigating the venue in her golf cart and engaging in heart-to-heart conversations with the players. This level of personal interaction instilled a familial atmosphere within the team, making the Chicago Bears not just a sports franchise but a joyous and united community.

The camaraderie and spirit of the players was palpable, especially during Training Camp. One of my most vivid memories is of linebackers Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs making their way to the practice field while the loudspeakers blared, "All I Do is Win." The music's infectious energy and the pair's evident love for the game and their team made these moments an absolute spectacle. It was more than just a practice session; it was a testament to their tenacity and unyielding resolve to strive for victory, greatly embodying the ethos of the Chicago Bears.
Amid the camaraderie and spirit that ran high in the team, it was long-time NFL punter, Brad Maynard, who took me under his wing, treating me less like a challenger to his position and more like a brother. Brad, a seasoned player with a distinguished career, shared invaluable insights and nuances of the game that one could only acquire through years of experience on the field. Brad's mentorship was an integral part of my journey, fostering in me a deep respect for the team, the game, and the enduring spirit of the NFL.

Philadelphia Eagles

Richmond McGee's road to the Philadelphia Eagles is nothing short of inspiring - a testament to resilience and the power of unwavering determination. After an injury in college, McGee was told he might never play again, but he defied the odds. His 2-year recovery process was grueling, but his passion for kicking was indomitable. McGee's signing with the Eagles inspired many who were close to him. 

McGee held immense respect for Coach Andy Reid, admiring both his football acumen and his stellar leadership qualities. He appreciated Reid's unwavering faith in his abilities, even in the face of adversity. Reid's guidance, according to McGee, was instrumental in his recovery and return to the game. The coach's ability to foster a climate of trust and encouragement, combined with his strategic prowess, cemented Reid's place as a figure of profound respect in McGee's football journey.

Joining the 2008 Rookie Class was a momentous milestone in McGee's career, made all the more special by the inclusion of DeSean Jackson. Acclaimed for his speed and agility, Jackson was a player McGee admired greatly. The opportunity to stand alongside such a dynamic figure in the sport was thrilling for McGee. He found himself reveling in the excitement and anticipation that comes with being part of a team with such potential. He was particularly keen on learning from Jackson's experiences and skills, hopeful that this exposure would further enhance his own gameplay. 

When it comes to roommates, Andy Studebaker, a fellow draft pick in the 2008 Rookie Class, certainly made an impression on McGee. Studebaker, known for his dedication and discipline, had a work ethic that McGee found both commendable and inspiring. The two shared a camaraderie, with Studebaker often lightening the mood with his quick wit, making even the most intense training sessions bearable. It wasn’t long before Studebaker became more than just a roommate to McGee; he was a confidante, a motivator, and a friend.
