LinkedIn made me feel like a FAILURE for taking Sundays off.

'I posting 5 times a week!'
'He just launched his 4th startup!'
'They're already at £2M ARR!'

the constant chase for 'success' was REAL

working literal 80 hr weeks thinking happiness was waiting at the next rev goal 💀

I don't speak about my Biochemistry degree much on here

(but yes, I'm a qualified Biochemist 🧬)

I got digging, and strap in because I'm gonna speak in nerd for a bit:

DMN = Default Mode Network (in your brain)
DMN = NEEDED for our creativity, long-term planning, self-reflection, idea generation
= essentially, we RELY on our DMN as entrepreneurs

From refuge to 7 figures at 23

Sounds like a LinkedIn dream story, right?

Plot twist: I was miserable 💀

The culprit? WhatsApp.

(bear with me, this gets good)

2023: Banking my first million, but pinging 24/7 with clients in US, UK, Dubai

My personal WhatsApp = my work

WhatsApp = my mental breakdown waiting to happen

Every notification could be:
- mum asking about Sunday lunch
- our freelancers needing file access asap
- bestie sending memes
- Dubai client at 3am needing 'urgent' changes

The constant context switching was literally killing brain cells

Bought a work phone thinking I was smart

(spoiler: carrying 2 phones everywhere isn't the flex you think it is)

Then I found Zenzap  

ONE app with an OFF switch

Now I have:

- personal WhatsApp for actual humans I like
- work comms app that I can literally switch OFF (and hide my number if needed)
- my sanity back (priceless tbh)

The best part? 

Clients have had the same issues with their WhatsApp/Slack comms, and also prefer this new system

I just... stop existing after 6pm

Then, I thrive ✨

Nike opened a SOUP stall for runners in China

Not another bore fest billboard. A SOUP STALL!

They're serving traditional Cantonese recovery soups to runners on Ersha Island

with Nike-branded spoons??

That's it. That's the campaign.

While everyone's throwing £millions at 'immersive experiences', Nike partnered with Olympic sprinter Su Bingtian to serve... soup.

location: where runners ACTUALLY run (spoiler alert: not Times Square)
product: what runners actually NEED (recovery, not another tracker app)
branding: Subtle AF (just a weird spoon, not a billboard)

meanwhile Nike's competitors are fighting for BFCM CPMs on Meta 😂

(be like Nike, not everyone else x)

This ONE pin makes me $700/month

no, not hookbait - here's how:

1. pin gets ~100k impressions/month
2. 5.4k clicks on said pin
3. translating to 1.35k outbound clicks every 30 days

this particular pin hyperlinks to my Stan store 

conversion on my stan store is ~2% from Pinterest

so now we do some math:

1.35k outbound clicks with a 2% conv rate = 27 purchases per month
average AOV of $25 means:

‼️ 27 purchases x 25 AOV = $700 PER MONTH FOR 1 PIN ‼️

I post at least 60 pins per month... I'll let you do that math for yourself 

yet all I hear is: PiNtErEsT wOnT wOrK fOr Me

won't it? or can you just not be bothered?

you keep your extortionate meta ads that give you a mediocre ROI

I'll stick to my Pinterest with a 100% ROI x

FOMO is one of the greatest marketing tactics...

but FOBO is where you're losing money

we've all heard of FOMO, right?

how you want your customers to FEEL like they're missing out if they don't have your product

more FOMO = more sales

but once you've nailed that it's time to start thinking about FOBO

✨ fear of better options ✨

(no I didn't make it up - it's a real thing x)

aka: analysis paralysis

it happens VERY often in pretty much every market in 2025

there's so many options for anything we could possibly want or need

it gets... overwhelming

whether it's a new coffee machine or a Tesco meal deal, we're literally flooded with options

what this looks like on the back end:

- cart abandonment
- high bounce rates

how you can fix it:

1. reduce choice overload (think how much nicer it is to order at a resturant with a 1 page menu, not a 20 page book)

2. add subtle confidence boosters to their choice (things like 'best seller', 'most value' etc)

3. remove regret (guarantees, money back offers, good refund policies - this reduces the pressure on them to make a 'final' product decision)

FOBO is a WHOLE other ball park in marketing

but something most people miss, and don't speak about

and you already know imma come bring the best info to your feed

because I want us all to win ⭐️

4 things working on Pinterest right now:

(you’ll get 1m impressions in 90 days)

1. long chain keywords - get super specific about what keywords you’re adding to your pins

2. recommended searches - Pinterest is pushing this for users

3. listipins (think clean, readable checklist and list content for your niche) 

4. Insta feed linking - link ur insta feed besties!! This content is getting SO much traction

Pinterest is making my clients 5-figures per month, within 6 months of management
