Science says yes.

When to schedule a doctor’s appointment
Research shows 3:00 PM is the Bermuda Triangle of healthcare.
In the afternoon:
-Anesthesia errors are 4× more likely
-Doctors detect fewer cancers
-Handwashing and vaccine recommendation rates drop
Morning = maximum alertness.
Afternoon = avoid for anything serious.

When to drink coffee
Don’t drink coffee right after waking.
Wait 60–90 minutes.
Your cortisol (natural alertness hormone) is already high when you wake up.
Caffeine too early can actually make you more tired later.

When to shower
The best time depends on your goal.
Night → better sleep
Warm water → body cools afterward → signals rest.
Morning → better focus
Cooler water → wakes your nervous system.
Either works. Consistency matters most.

When to exercise
Morning
-Discipline
-Up to 20% more fat burned
-Easier habit formation

Afternoon
-Better performance
-Warmer muscles
-Stronger lungs
-Fewer injuries
Same workout. Different results.

When to nap
Best window: 2–3 PM
Ideal length: 10–20 minutes
Longer naps = groggy brain.
Pro move: a nappuccino ☕
Coffee → 20-minute nap → wake as caffeine kicks in.

When to start fresh
Use a Fresh Start Date.
Psychologists call this the Fresh Start Effect.
New Year’s Day.
Birthdays.
Mondays.
Your brain loves clean slates.

People say “timing is everything.”

But he left out the most important part.

McDonald's Chris Kempczinski told people: Stop waiting around for someone else to help you.

"Nobody cares about your career as much as you do," he said.

That's spot on — now let's talk about HOW to take control.

Think about it this way. There are two sets of opportunities…

𝗦𝗘𝗧 𝗔: Do the things that are asked of you.

𝗦𝗘𝗧 𝗕: Do the things that are 𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 to you… but that nobody's asking you to do.

I believe, with all my heart, that SET B is more important.

Yes, if you have a job, you must do what's asked of you — but if that's ALL you do, you'll only be qualified to do THAT.

So you must push yourself into SET B.

Submit to speak at an industry conference. Fix a broken process at your work. Launch a YouTube channel. Join a new team. Take a class.

Growth comes from pushing OUTSIDE your path… not from just slowly following a path.

This is how I built my career. At every job (including running Entrepreneur mag), I look around and ask: "What's available to me right now?"

Keynote speaking. Advising. Consulting. Founding businesses. Nobody asked me to do this, but it was all available. So I did it. And that's what truly defines my path.

Nobody cares about your career as much as you do.
