Terran is an e-commerce company that has built several amazing brands and content sites.

In this role, I led a team of 7 writers across 4 different brands.

Being a content lead for an e-commerce holding company required strong project and people management skills.

On one hand, I directly managed content marketing campaigns. This included creating content marketing strategies for brands like Tac9er, Icewraps, Wildbaby, and Picture Hang Solutions, and delegating tasks to the writers.

These tasks included writing long-form blog posts, email marketing campaigns, and copy for various digital assets.  I was also in charge of keyword research, reviewing written work, and evaluating the success of our content marketing efforts. As the lead content marketer, I made sure that all our campaigns fit every stage of the customer journey.

On the other hand, being a people manager meant taking care of my team members holistically. I did weekly check-ins with each of the writers, where we focused on their professional and personal development whilst in the company.

I also interviewed candidates who were keen on joining the team and trained successful applicants. I created a customized training track for new writers, making sure that they were equipped for the challenges of the role. With the help of the rest of the management team, I created processes that helped make our job more efficient. 

Creating opportunities for writers to grow and develop talent was an important part of my job.
