KOR for short, built this local workshop and sport rim reseller brand from scratch as the sole content creator on Youtube and Tiktok organically to boost brand visibility and diversify revenue stream. I conceptualized, directed, filmed and edited videos (one man army production) and found creative ways to build audience in these two platforms. 

I have generated (without paid ads):

📌 100,925 followers (as of 30/6/2022) on Tiktok with a total of 5.2 million video views within a year
📌 An overall engagement rate of 4.46% on Tiktok
📌 13.4k subscribers on Youtube (as of 30/1/2022) with a total of 1.2M video views within 2 years
📌 30% increase in inbound sales through Tiktok direct messaging

1StopBorneo Wildlife 

1Stopborneo Wildlife is a Sabah based NGO that focuses on mitigating wildlife issues through conservation tourism. I worked on creating brand awareness and visuals to convey stories about Borneo's wildlife. As the content specialist, I:
1. Produced a wildlife documentary on Pygmy Elephant conservation tourism in partnership with Sabah Softwoods plantation.
2. Created bit-sized videos for promotional campaigns.
3. Maintaining editorial calendars.

For someone who’s supposed to be good to be at content, I suck at writing my own biography. So here’s few quick things about me and what I do and hopefully it piques your interest and perhaps we can connect 👇

➡ Picked up photography in 2015 unintentionally when my bro in law lent me his DSLR to take pictures on his wedding registration day. I had zero photography knowledge at that time, so Youtube was my best friend. Ended up with decent pictures. I feel in love with the fact that I could be part of creating someone else’s core memory. I got more invested.

➡ in 2017, I broke up with my ex girlfriend and went on a spiritual journey with my newfound craft. I freelanced a little, shot for event gigs and local brands. Then I met a guy who’s running a wildlife conservation NGO called 1StopBorneo Wildlife while I was doing my bachelors in Sabah. We connected and became a member of the org. I was the media guy for all the conservation campaigns we held.

➡ In 2018, I was part of the core team in the #Plant4BorneoElephants project. 1StopBorneo developed an approach whereby plantations experiencing Human-Elephant conflict can see the benefit of having elephants on their lands, instead of seeing them as pests with conversation tourism.

➡ In 2019, I Co-produced a documentary on the #Plant4BorneoElephants project after our successful launch for Borneo Eco Film Festival to raise awareness.

➡ in 2020, I came back to KL due to covid and family, I started working for a local car workshop in Shah Alam as a videographer on contract basis. My initial goal was to scale their Youtube channel initially. As we scaled the channel past 10k subs in over a year, Tiktok was becoming the hot thing so we decided to give it a try and had our first viral video within 2 months. Scaled the Youtube channel to 13.4k subs and Tiktok to 100,925 followers.

➡ in 2022, I realized that I was burnt out from content creation. Wanted to explore a career in marketing and that is how I ended up in whacked as part of the core team. At whacked, I wear many hats and my scope is not confined to just growth marketing because we are such small team building big things 💪
