Stop apologizing for being human.

"Please confirm your availability for an interview within 24 hours, or we will move on to other candidates."

The candidate drops everything.

They reschedule their current work meetings.

Stop treating grown adults like children.

I was on a call recently where a manager said something that made my skin crawl:

"My team can work from home once they earn my trust."

Huge red flag. 🚩

If you hire a professional, trust should be given on Day 1. 
It shouldn't be a prize locked behind 6 months of perfect attendance in a cubicle.

When you require employees to "earn" flexibility, you aren't managing performance. You’re managing geography.

Let’s be clear about what modern leadership looks like:

❌ Tracking hours logged.

✅ Tracking outcomes delivered.

❌ Mistrusting until proven otherwise.

I saw a job posting today.

Title: Junior Analyst.

Requirement: 3-5 years of experience.
Pay: Entry-level.

Let’s call it what it is: Wage theft. 🚩

When you ask for "3-5 years" of experience, you aren't looking for a junior.

You’re looking for someone who can:

Stop asking candidates: "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?"

Instead, start asking: "How can we make sure you’re still happy here in 12 months?"

We’ve all seen the job description.

They say: "Don't use the green #OpenToWork banner. It looks desperate."

The most dangerous thing you can do in your job search is nothing.

Most job seekers think "playing it safe" is the smart move.
