And it worked on my first cycle aged 37.  I then spent years navigating secondary infertility, male factor infertility, and pregnancy loss, and at age 41 I had my best-ever round of IVF (after being written off as too old and leaving it too late) which resulted in my beautiful rainbow twins.

11 years ago today, I was in the middle of my first IVF cycle. Something I had avoided for years because I was convinced it would break me.

She was told she’d only produce six eggs. She proved them wrong with eighteen.
