With over 20 years of experience in financial services, I am the founder and financial planner committed to helping women and #STEM professionals oversee their financial affairs.  

Your Story Financial was established in July 2016 and we service clients throughout the United States. 

In 2019, I started Your Story Financial Academy because I wanted people to see financial freedom and making work-optional/financial independence as something within reach. 

I am originally from Columbus, OH, and graduated with a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University.  

Soon after working as an engineer and taking on various roles, I decided to pursue my purpose in promoting financial literacy and financial planning.  

In 2004, I changed careers and began working with a global financial institution.  

Five years later in 2009, I became a financial advisor with a national broker-dealer firm and began assisting professionals with their financial futures.  

After seven years with that broker-dealer firm, I launched my firm which allows me to continue to promote financial literacy and stay true to my vision to provide financial planning regardless of one’s age or accumulated assets.  

In addition to helping clients achieve financial success, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, line dancing, reading a good non-fiction book, watching historical documentaries, and spending time with my husband.

No passport.
No jet lag.

the one with the glow, the cliffs, the calm?

I’ve never been to Santorini.

Not yet.

But I didn’t want to wait until the perfect year or the perfect budget or the perfect season to imagine my Santorini flying dress photoshoot moment.

So I created it now.

I let my imagination take the trip before I do.

This idea started with a simple thought for a prompt idea:
A powerful woman standing in Santorini, free, radiant, and aligned.

I used Gen AI (Chat GPT and Nano Banana) to turn it into the image you see with this post.

But here’s what surprised me most. 

It wasn’t just the picture. 
It was the feeling. 

It reminded me that imagination isn’t a luxury. 

It’s part of how we plan, dream, and design the life we want.

As a financial planner, I enjoy encouraging people to tell their money what they want it to do. 

Now I want to ask you a quieter question:

Give your imagination a starting point.
