I’m Danny Langloss, and like you, I’ve spent the past 20 years on the front lines leading in the trenches. Throughout this time, I’ve learned that leadership is not for the faint of heart. It’s complex and challenging.

As a detective sergeant, I had to keep my team motivated and empowered despite the burnout caused by long hours and traumatic incidents. We created a resilient team that consistently outperformed their peers and were energized to serve victims and their families.

When I was promoted to police chief, I inherited a toxic and divided culture. Through vision, listening, clear expectations, and strong leadership, we created an inclusive culture and became one of the most desired places to work in the region.

Later, as the City Manager, I joined a fractured and siloed team that lacked purpose, connection, and direction. Within months, we created a team united through purpose, fully committed to delivering their best for our community. Today, this team is guided by the values of “Commitment to Excellence” and “Here to Serve.”

We 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 overcoming problems that seem impossible by creating solutions that don’t seem like an option. To give you an idea, here are a couple of examples below:

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦: I am looking at my EOR and somebody is taking half of our billed charges. Where is this money going? 

𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: We spent four years building a solution. Time and time again, we were told no, it can’t be done, there is no way around it and FINALLY, we created a solution and proved them wrong.  

The solution we created, allows our customers to bill workers’ comp and auto bills without retroactive discounting. That means higher reimbursement for our customer practices. We have successfully processed over $11,000,000 in charges on behalf of our customers.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦: I am treating more patients and making less money. What is happening? 

𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: A complete data analysis showed that their payer mix shifted dramatically and the clinic was losing money. The owners first instinct was to close the clinic because they were in the wrong area, and there was no solution. We created a strategic marketing campaign based on algorithms that we created to alter the payer mix. This allowed our customer to remain open and even thrive in the community that they serve.

Marketing was bringing in a record number of patients. We negotiated high paying contracts. Our revenue was still decreasing. 
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧... 𝐒𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞.

I was an executive at a physical therapy network where our goal was to provide more revenue for our clients. We brought in a record number of patients through marketing, increased the rates for the insurance contracts and still… the revenue was not increasing. I knew that something wasn’t right, so I started looking at the numbers. The data was showing that the contracts were not paying correctly. 

Insurance companies have a lot of power, and we found that our clients were too tired to fight them any longer. They were using PPO Networks to process the billing and give our clients less money. We tried to dispute the payments, we worked with lawyers, and everything resulted in the insurance companies favor. Apparently, this was a normal thing, and we were told several times that there was nothing we could do about it. 

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲-𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐭. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐠𝐨. There had to be an answer, and we were not willing to give up. 
We spent four years building a solution.

Our solution results in more revenue for our clients. Physical therapists change lives every day. They ELIMINATE pain for their patients. More revenue makes it easier for them to focus on providing the best care to their patients and invest in technology to use in treatments. It gives power back to them and allows them to get paid the correct amount for the hard work that they do. 

I’ve 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙛 professionals, identifying obstacles within their business and providing strategies to help with growth, revenue generation, marketing, and business development.  I have seen too often that companies don't realize they are not reaching their 𝗺𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 because they simply don't see a problem.
