With decades of experience supporting the construction industry, I’m passionate about creating a skilled, competent, and inclusive workforce that meets the challenges of today—and tomorrow.  

The construction sector is evolving rapidly. From attracting the right talent to developing future-ready skills systems, I work to empower individuals and businesses to thrive in this dynamic landscape.

Community building: I’ve led initiatives that bring people together, from grassroots efforts to national campaigns, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.
Neurodiversity advocacy: Through training and education programs, I help organisations better understand and support neurodivergent individuals, creating workplaces that are not just accommodating but empowering.
Leadership and results: As a leader in engagement, I’ve guided teams to deliver tangible outcomes, from fostering employer networks to supporting workforce development projects.
Mental health advocacy: As a trustee with Mates in Mind, I’m committed to improving mental health awareness and support across the construction sector.

Hi I’m Suzanne,

Here to help the construction industry to retain talented mums. Empowering them to step into leadership, balance home and work life and thrive.

The proportion of women in construction careers has steadily declined resulting in an overall downward trend in the number of people employed in the sector, as recorded by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).


Data from engineering UK also shows small but worrying spike in women aged 35 to 44 leaving engineering. 


When we factor in the average age of starting a family (30.9 years) it’s very likely that many women leaving these industries are mums.

Retaining mums in construction is essential - but challenging.

I help by:

- Providing accessible leadership development which is bespoke to mums in construction
- Providing tailored 1:1 coaching, group coaching and peer networking
- Providing strategies to blend leadership and family life
- Building leaders with confidence and self-belief
- Sharing habits and tactics to thrive at work and home

The Results: 

📌 Fiona felt unfulfilled and struggled to balance work and family. Through our coaching, she developed new approaches, significantly improving her life quality. Fiona transitioned into a fulfilling leadership role while balancing her family life.
📌 Kerrie felt overwhelmed and lacked confidence after maternity leave. Our coaching rebuilt her confidence, helped her reflect on achievements, and develop strategies to balance work and home life. Kerrie secured a new role, completed a professional qualification, and earned a promotion.
📌 Becky struggled with self-doubt and a critical inner voice. We focused on using her strengths and maximising her impact at work while making time for herself. Becky learned to silence her inner critic, leading to enhanced confidence and productivity.
