CASE STUDY
The Client ► This virtual events company sells their digital product into 55 countries worldwide, with 1 million players attending 5000 individual events each year. 

The Challenge ► Their problem was similar to many e-commerce businesses that are experiencing rapid growth. Email as a communications channel for thousands of conversations each week is just not scalable. Using Email is slow, repetitive and expensive to manage. Especially when you are dealing with on average 26,000 conversations a year.

The Solution ► The chosen Chatbot, ticketing and Live Chat product UBISEND was implemented for several reasons.

✅Cost-effective for both medium and large businesses
✅Technical enough to deliver on the project but not so technical that the client can’t take full ownership of the finished product
✅A platform that is also looking to grow and that is willing to listen to my clients’ needs and aspirations
✅Able to provide outstanding support - especially when the pressure is on
✅Able to integrate with well-known products simply, and when required provide the support for more complicated integrations

Ubisend was the only platform that fulfilled all my clients’ needs. 


The Goal ►To use their Chatbot to answer at least 25% of messages without the need for any human support within 12 weeks. This was achieved in 5 weeks. 

The Result ► All chat messages via both their website and Facebook Messenger are answered by their Chatbot 'CHRIS'. Chris is able to ascertain where they are in the sales cycle and then offer up one of more than 130 conversational FAQ's once a question is asked.

Their Chatbot today (August 2021) is answering 43% of all questions asked of it without any human support.

Fast forward to 2015 and the business has changed significantly in-line with how the  “Social Internet” has developed. Now offering Full Agency Support to businesses of all sizes, Blooming Social Media have helped young start-ups develop effective Social Media skills, and businesses with turnovers in excess of £10m develop digital marketing strategies that work!

Whilst social media is our forte, we have a thorough understanding of all internet technologies including web design and development, email marketing, content management systems (CMS) and more. We work together with either the client’s own, or our hand-picked marketing partners, to ensure we deliver end to end measurable digital marketing campaigns designed and delivered to achieve the client’s objectives.

Supervision of the IT Service desk
To create and maintain inventory documentation (including configuration, asset, licensing and other such information)
To provide information systems training, as directed, to ensure that customers are able to carry out their duties efficiently and effectively.
Maintain and administer the Firewall hardware and software to reduce the likelihood of a security incidents. This included the monitoring of Web traffic and Emails.

The support of the hardware and software infrastructure with the additional responsibility of 1st line systems support. Resolution of day to day fault calls as reported by users of the service. Area's of responsibility included file & Print, systems access and management of the directory services

PRIOR TO 2002

From leaving school until May 2002 I was a member of the British Army. I was employed to teach communications and manage the communications function within my operation unit. This included the management of both voice and data communications. 

Managed a team of eight communications experts including Graphical Information System operation, secure communications platform and monitoring of voice traffic inline with defined security practices.

Operationally served in Iraq, Sierra Leone and Northern Ireland.
