Out of the last 2,154 days, I've shown up and posted here on 2,151 of those days. 

After coaching 2500 people over the last 700+ days, I can tell you that the opportunity we have right in front of us can change your entire life in a short period of time. Truly, have never seen this platform like it is today. It is inning 2 on LinkedIn.

I normally tell you things to do that would accelerate your impact but today I am going to list 4 or 5 things NOT to do because I think most people don't understand what is considered catastrophic to a creator here.

1 - Being Hyper-Niche & Looking the same daily 

Let me explain. I love niche content, I really do. But if you are only known for that one singular thing then you will struggle to break out and you will have to be top 5% in that niche to capitalize. 

As far as the looking the same daily, yea that is my big one. I call this moment in time, the "bored and fast time." This simply means that people get bored with you faster than they ever have so you need to look different daily to shock your feed. You want them to not know what to expect from you and keep them on the edge of their seat!

This also means sharing short form, long form, pictures, videos, etc - have to create for all sides of the brain.

2 - Building a tight knit community of loyal peeps

This is one that I see absolutely destroy new creators because they think this is the way to grow while in reality it is the way to stall all growth.

Engaging with 1st degree folks, same people daily even going as far as saving profile pages in different tabs to get notified. 

Then, you wake up and you are in a 1st degree vortex which means you are hanging with like .000001 % of the platform and that won't let you grow. 

Go meet 2nd and 3rd connections and have some fun and get out of your bubble. 

3 - Creating fire content but not using the entire platform

This one is what most founders and c-suite leaders I work with struggle the most with.

Just because your content is good, does not mean people will engage. It is unfortunate but LinkedIn is a reciprocity social media platform, you have to give in order to get - no one cares about your title.

What I mean by this is, commenting on others content, responding to your comments, sending dms, dropping recommendations, introducing people to each other, teaching people through your content, etc. 

4 - Crazy formatted content with bolding, emojis, italics and other things that look non native to LinkedIn. 

This is one I have been watching for the last year and have a good amount of data on. 

The people consuming your content want to feel like YOU wrote it vs an outside tool or Ai so you immediately lose trust when it doesn't look normal. Your community starts to look elsewhere, and your impact dwindles.

I was a loser for 27 years.

In 2018, I had a mental breakdown.

3:53AM in my parents’ spare bedroom
Heart pounding, chest tight
I realised one thing.

No one is coming to save me.
So I’m going to save myself.

That moment rebuilt my entire life.

Not because I got lucky.
But because I stopped outsourcing who I was.

Most people don’t have a business problem.
They have a self-authorship problem.

Fix that, and everything changes.

First $8k/mth retainer Mar 2023.

Confirmation Bias on my sh*tty offer

I then spent like I’d won even though I sucked.

4 mths went by, bank balance dangerously low.

I could barely sell anything.

Finally dropped my ego

1 - Made a 3.5k one off offer
2 - DM'd 100's of peeps
3 - Closed 25 deals.

Same ICP. Smaller promise.
 
The lesson?

You're not as good as you think you are.

Make an offer that is smaller and lower risk

People don't buy promises
They buy something believable.

How to make $30k/mth on LinkedIn

1) Start talking to people
2) Ask what they need help with
3) Offer to start helping them for free
4) Start helping them to see what you like
5) Ask what they found most valuable together
6) Find other people like them in Sales Navigator
7) Say you just helped this person and offer to help them
8) Keep helping more people to become the most useful
9) Use that real life data to create your offer doc to sell

That's it. You need nothing else. Just starting helping.

You can't "ChatGPT" your way into making an offer

The offer is created through you having conversations with actual human being, being useful and solving their real world problems.

No made up "AI" ones.

Your personal brand on LinkedIn

1) Comment mindlessly for 2 hours a day on 50 "creators" posts saying "OMG this is so correct! You are the greatest human of all time!"

2) Use AI to only agree with what someone said. Ffs please stop. You look like a robot with no soul.

3) Ask for a 15 min catchup in every single DM you send. Just stop. You look like a desperate weirdo.

- Functional: Does it use the VERBS of their daily life? (Not marketing-speak — their actual routines)
- Technical: Does it use insider vocabulary only they'd know?
- Cultural: Does it reference shared experiences from their world?
- Psychic: Does it voice the internal monologue they never say out loud?
- Narrative: Does it describe the repeating story loop of their life?
- Score: 0-20

STEP 3 — CARRIER TRUST (do they trust the human behind this?)

Check these signals in the post:
- Lived Credibility: Does the author sound like they've actually done this, not just studied it?
- Proof Proximity: Are there results from people like the reader?
- Motive Transparency: Is it clear why the author is sharing this?
- Values Polarity: Does this post attract the RIGHT people and repel the wrong ones? Or does everyone "kind of agree"?
- Score: 0-20

THEN GIVE ME:

1. Total score out of 100
2. Translate that to: "X% chance this generates an inbound lead, Y% chance it just gets likes"
3. The #1 reason it will fail to convert (be specific and direct)
4. Rewrite my hook (first 2 lines) so the right person's brain screams "that's me"
5. One line I should add that would spike Carrier Trust

Be brutal. I don't want encouragement. I want a diagnosis.
