Oversee all accounting operations including recording transactions, producing financial statements, filing taxes, adhering to policies and processes and reconciling accounts.
•	Perform month-end book closer functions, prepare monthly closing journal entries, and complete account reconciliations
•	Produce internal financial reports for management
•	Produce quarterly and yearly financials for bank
•	Ad hoc reporting and special reporting requests
•	Assist outside CPA firm with yearly financials and income tax preparation
•	Assist with developing and maintaining budgeting processes
•	Produce accounting reports to assist with cash, sales, and other forecasting activities
•	Provide continual improvement of accounting record keeping and reporting to support Mango’s evolving business
•	Process bi-monthly payroll timely and accurately
•	Work closely with HR department to ensure payroll accuracy

•	Oversee, train, and guide accounting staff, including 1 on 1s and performance reviews

•	Maintain accounting controls by establishing and maintaining chart of accounts, and defining accounting policies and procedures
•	Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying recommendations to operational issues

•	Prepare multi-state sales and use tax, excise, and franchise tax returns
•	Ensure customer exemption certificates for completeness

Finance Manager

•	Establish automated accounting systems for new entities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
•	Responsible for the administration of corporate-wide health and life insurance policies and evaluation of insurance policies on an annual basis. 
•	Maintains primary responsibility for the management and oversight of company-wide financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly accruals, depreciation, write offs, interest expenses, and all other general journal entries.
•	Strong technical accounting and SEC reporting
•	Collaborate with the Human Resource department to process payroll in order to ensure strict adherence to scheduled paydays.

•	Draft, prepare and analyze annual budgets based on financial analysis, utilizing finalized budget to delegate funding for different cost centers 
•	Periodically identify variances in reports and data, updating and reconciling discrepancies.
•	Support and monitor activity of external auditors, providing feedback, paperwork and documentation as needed. 
•	Create financial models for budgets, forecasting, option pricing, debt, historical, and consolidation. 
•	Conduct financial and tax analysis to provide strategic insight for leadership to develop data-driven evaluation of investments and projects.

Controller

The Battery Recycling Co.

•	Recruited and trained staff members which included performance evaluations of personnel.
•	Oversaw internal audit function to ensure fraud prevention, evaluation of financial operations and compliance with regulations 
•	Directed corporate-wide accounting functions including purchase order approvals, aged payable disbursements, PO's expense codification and invoices, and monthly aged payables used for proper account reporting and contributed to margin analysis based on international prices.
•	Ensured the compliance of regulatory procedure regarding human resources, OSHA 300, disability and unemployment forms, and compensations and benefits administration and coordinated outsourced support and documentation to ISO 9001 external auditors.
•	Created and implemented accounting system for generation of financial statements 
•	Developed and implemented several time and cost-saving measures utilizing existing programs and software to increase effectiveness of operations and efficiency of staff. 
•	Identified processing improvements for inventory purchase system, saving over $5M for the company by identifying the variable cost unit.
