The Cleveland Freeze, was a professional arena soccer organization competing in the former Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL), now known as the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL).  After playing professionally himself, Scott who was a Co-Owner, President and General Manager would lead the Freeze organizaiton into their inaugral season in 2013. The Freeze went 10-6 on the regular season and advanced to the playoffs where they would win the Midwest Divsion and advance to the Ron New Cup Final Four.

Scott Snider is the President of the Exit Planning Institute (EPI) and the Operating Partner of Snider Premier Growth, a small family investment company. Scott is a nationally recognized industry leader, growth specialist, and lifetime entrepreneur. He launched his first business at the age of 17. At 24, he sold to a strategic buyer (his first “exit”) and joined his fathers, Chris Snider, private exit planning and M&A firm Aspire Management. At the time, the firm was looking to dominate Northeast Ohio’s exit planning space. 
 
With their passion for business strategy and serving owners and advisors alike, Scott and his father Chris purchased the Exit Planning Institute (EPI), introduced the Value Acceleration Methodology, wrote an award-winning book called Walking to Destiny, and effectively increased the business size by 10x. 

As an exited business owner himself, Scott’s passion is helping business owners create significant companies while aligning their personal financial plans and helping the owner find and tap their personal purpose. He and his EPI team achieve this through educating professional advisors who surround the business owner during this journey. Creating not only significant companies but significant teams and outcomes.

Outside of business, Scott is active inside of the Northeast Ohio community. He serves on the various boards including America SCORES Cleveland and the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program at St. Edward High School. Big day today as we host our Exit Planning Institute Company Pre-Retreat. A day for us to slow down to speed up. Apart of the Rhythm of EPI is what we call our Pre-Retreat. A day for the entire team to contribute to and help build company strategy. We do this Pre-Retreat just a few days prior to the Executive Team leaving for our Executive Retreat. The insights we gain today will be brought over to our Retreat for consideraiton in the 1 and 3 year strategies we build. 

I would encourage all owners to host a Pre-Retreat and give their employees a voice and platform for contributing strategic insights and ideas. It is apart of the Value Creator mindset. I gain valuable insights into my business that help me attract and retain great people while grabbing insights into our customers and new ways of thinking.

1) Breakfast with Life in a Hat exercise. Everyone contributes one unique fact about themselves, and over breakfast we try to guess who that facts belongs to.

2) State of the Company Address by ownership

4) Renewal of company purpose, vision, trust acceletators and a session on core values with lived examples from throughout the year

5) Start/Stop Exercise from customer and employee persecptives. What should we start doing, keep doing, or stop doing. First with our customers in mind and second with our employees in mind. 

6) Annual Big Rock Peformance Overview 

7) Team Exercise. This year, we focus on the "company of the future". The team is divided into small groups and randomly assigned a growth topic to discuss. Objective is to bring 2 insights back into the large group for discussion. Our topics this year....

8) One Big Idea Competition. Employees submit one big idea to the Executive Team that would change the company by focusing on the 4Cs. Structural, Social, Human, and Customer Capital. Three of them are selected to present shark tank style to the entire company. Winner gets a bonus and the opportunity to work on the team who is going to implement this big idea. Congrats to Donovan Muller, Kara Guy, and Margaret Coniam can't wait to see your presentations this afternoon!

Last day of our Executive Retreat! Always a really cool moment to lean into my Dad who was one of the original CEPAs for insights and advice. Each year I take our Executive Team away for a few days to slow down to speed up. This year has been one of the best retreats in our company history. Very focused on evolving our model, offerings, team, and approach. All best in class companies must evolve every 3 years to stay relevant, competitive, to stay ahead of technology changes, and better serve changing customer needs. I am excited for 2026 as a new version of EPI will emerge to strengthen our position in the market and the CEPA Community all with same purpose in mind to create significant companies
