I have led In House Learning Disability and Mental Health services since Nov 2016, and from April 2019 I will also have oversight of In House Older People and Physical Disability services.

I strategically lead all In House provision for Kent County Council (also known as "Inspiring Lives"). I work with my senior management teams across the county to deliver exceptional person centred services to the people of Kent. I have worked towards delivering analytical and outcome driven services, as well as looking at commercially developing services where possible.

I work with colleagues across the authority to deliver core KCC objectives, and within key national agendas and regulatory governance. Performance Coach - London, Kent, Surrey and the South East

As a Performance coach I am working for one of the UK's top private social care providers ensuring that the highest quality of support and provision is delivered over North and West London. 

Through internal audits I am referred to any services which may need assistance in some way where I will use my previous skills of project and crisis management to guide, coach or mentor managers within the services to overcome any particular issues they may be facing. This is a non operational role and my role is to support and guide already successful internal managers.

I also will do various training and investigation work as part of this role.

After leaving Yarrow as a project manager, I have stayed on in an external capacity to train Yarrow employees in ProActSCIPrUK. I am a trained and qualified ProActSCIPrUK instructor and specialise in working with adults who have PMLD, autism, challenging behaviours and/or mental health. I adopt, employ and teach ProActive approaches to maximise positive behaviours and promote positive behavioural support.

I was project manager at Yarrow Housing for a supported living project, and previous to that placement I had been managing a residential care home in Fulham. I ensure that staff deliver the highest standards of personalised support within the regulations set by governing bodies.

I was overseeing the roll out of a new project, working with colleagues and external professionals at all levels to ensure the smooth transition and progression of a service aimed at bringing adults with autism, PMLD, mental health and challenging behaviours, many of whom have been held on section at some point, into the community in their own flats. Initially I did this while also managing the residential care service in nearby Fulham, leading the team there to implement changes and to further enhance the lives of the ladies that live there. We recently gained 'full compliance' with CQC under the new standards which came into effect in 2010.

I manage staff teams effectively within budgets, show excellent financial control, lead in recruitment, assessments of new clients, have extensive knowledge of the MCA and other relevant legislation and essential operational knowledge. My strategies in house to improve staff morale, raise staff retention and lower staff sickness worked as in every project I have managed these rates have been excellent.

I lead my staff to ensure they are providing an excellent package of care bespoke to individuals, using pro active PBS techniques to help enhance the lives of the people we support and to enable them to be as independent as possible and make the choices they want to make.

I am a ProActSCIPrUK instructor. I am also a medications assessor.

I worked as an 'Accreditation Worker' for a charity, this means I guided the charity into delivering various accredited courses from late 2010 for adults with a range of learning disabilities. This was through funding received to establish accredited courses at the charity, and we quickly selected, trained and rolled out the ASDAN TI modules throughout the charity helping adults with a range of disabilities gain qualifications and gain even more independence than they already had.

I worked with external stakeholders and colleagues to deliver this programme, overseeing the roll out of this project from development and planning to the charity being accepted as a provider and starting the courses for the adults it helps.

I was the lead on shift for staff and clients within a top residential care home for adults with PMLD and profound learning disabilities and/or challenging behaviours. The home was ASD specific. I worked on shift with workers ensuring that care plans were followed, protocols adhered to and that clients were empowered and encouraged to be as independent as possible. We worked in line with all relevant CQC guidance and key legislation, and used pro active methods to ensure that we were minimising risk and enhancing quality of life and opportunity for our clients at all times.

Due to the nature of this role I am fully trained in SCIP and evasive techniques (I have subsequently, since joining Yarrow, become a ProActSCIPrUK instructor), as well as Positive Behavioural Support Methods and a range of other techniques including various medical adminstration and assessment methods.

I worked over 3 projects managing staff teams and ensuring that care standards and plans were adhered to. The last and main project I was based at was very large, 17 self contained flats in a large building, all residents with PMLD and/ or challenging behaviour.
A great role managing the staff and working to make the environment better and more productive for all. I also cut my teeth here with billing and accounts experience, and leading teams in sometimes very difficult and challenging situations.
I also managed a smaller residential care home for 3 adults with PMLD and a new project from planning to roll out of 8 supported living flats for people with mild learning disabilities and mental health.

I am a senior leader in UK social care, with 20+ years experience in both the private and public sector.

My background is specialising in supporting people with behaviours of concern, and expertise in complex + profound support needs + associated behaviours.

I run my own company, finix, a leadership and behaviour consultancy.

I have led a range of progressive and transformative services in the UK, specifically in the area of supporting Transforming Care/LDA cohorts, by designing and providing services to negate the need for step up in to, or facilitate a faster step down from, secure tier 4 provision. I have strategically overseen services for Children (OFSTED regulated), as well as adults, and older people (CQC regulated), as well as many non regulated services, including many enablement and re-ablement services, that have saved millions year on year through tracked cost avoidance and/or cost reduction.

I have led workforces of up to 2,500 (headcount), 2,000 FTE, and an annual revenue budget of up to £36.2m net (£59.1m gross), as well as smaller capital budgets. I have continually delivered underspends on revenue budgets. 

I have a track record of excellent regulatory compliance with both OFSTED and CQC, but mainly CQC. I have led services to achieve "outstanding" with OFSTED, and "increased effectiveness" on interim inspections, and adult/older peoples services to achieve "good" in all domains, with elements of  "outstanding", as well as achieving "outstanding" overall, within CQC. I successfully led  Local Authority In House services from around 50% "requires improvement" when I joined, to achieve 100% minimum "good" in all domains, over 4 years. Similarly, I was the first region nationally to achieve a minimum of "good" in every service as a performance coach at Dimensions, and then as an Operations Director for them we were the first region nationally to achieve an overall "outstanding" with CQC. 

I am trained in PBS/functional behaviour assessment, NLP, non verbals, and coaching / theraputic counselling techniques. 

I created the "life wheel", a ground breaking system that supports people to break down their lives into key domains, and tangibly track their quality of life, and work over time with support, to increase their quality of life, choice and control, and independence.

In my spare time I love to run, hike/climb mountains (this has even taken me to Everest Base Camp and Kilimanjaro), travel, + spend time with 2 daughters - Sophia + Nicole. I am fascinated by human behaviour, psychology, + mindset, and this is a huge passion of mine.
