I don’t start with Amazon descriptions.
Most shoppers don’t either.

We look at the images and ask one thing:
𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦?
You’ve got about 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 to make that happen.

We ran multiple rounds on this Storefront—same brand, different ways of showing up.

𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀: product-first. Pretty bottles, clean layouts… and a dead end.
My brain went: “𝘖𝘬𝘢𝘺, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘢 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘬.” Then nothing. In beverages, good-looking product shots are table stakes.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱: we flipped the script to 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚-𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩.
Now I can picture it—where I’d drink it, when I’d reach for it, the moment it fits.

That’s the switch from “𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭” to “𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴.”

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀)
⤷ One-line promise up top that says what it is and why it matters.
⤷ Lifestyle context that sells the moment, not just the bottle.
⤷ Outcome tiles (energy, focus, calm… whatever’s true) that are scannable on mobile.
⤷ Proof early—reviews, badges, press—so confidence lands before the scroll.
⤷ Clear paths to shop (Shop Flavors • Build a Bundle • Find Your Fit) that move the journey forward.

If all I see is the container, I’ll keep scrolling.

When listings stall, it’s rarely because we can’t find terms to rank for.

💢 Can you guess one of the unsung perks of working with chef-level brains?

His take, verbatim:

Feel and smell… online. Chef logic. Respect.

But that’s just one slice of the audience. The other segments?
Parents. Home cooks. Food lovers. People who simply want to know exactly what they’re buying.

Across testing, we kept hearing the same two asks:
“𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘵?” and “𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰?”

So we got to work.
We redesigned, refreshed, and split-tested these main images—until data told us what shoppers clicked, not what we hoped they’d click.

Some concepts won, some didn’t.
But the winner is always the same: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀.

🚨 Your Amazon product images answer the what—what’s in it, what it does, why it matters.

But the how you communicate it? That’s what actually moves shoppers.

A strong main image + solid PPC gets you in the door.
Amazon is one of the most-visited ecommerce platforms on the planet— which means:
⤷ For 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀: more choices.
⤷ For 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀: a chance to grab market share.

👉 Why it’s different — thermoregulating, breathable fabric, self-cleaning properties.
👉 Lifestyle reassurance — 5-star hotel comfort at home.
👉 Comparison table — “Us vs. Them” to simplify the decision.
👉 Size guide — zero guesswork, fewer returns.

Minimal doesn’t mean bland. It means every pixel has a job: appetite where it helps (lux fabric, soft touch), and instant answers where it matters (sizes, features, care).

Design for the way people buy 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘰𝘳𝘺, not for what’s trending in another.

I hired a CTO in the first month of building Listing Optimization AI… 
and it might be the best decision I’ve made in years.

Alex Hormozi once said something that stuck with me:

“If you’re starting a SaaS, you either need to know how to code… or you need a technical co-founder… or you need a CTO.”

I took that personally.
I’m not a developer.
So I went and hired a CTO in month one.

And within the first few meetings, I realized how close I was to building a “good idea” that would quietly bleed money for months.

Here’s why:

Last week he showed me a PostHog dashboard he installed.

Out of 300 new signups, only 42 completed the first core action: Market Intelligence.

Even fewer created a brief.

And the crazy part?
Almost everyone who generated images to limit ended up upgrading to a paid plan.

So he looks at me and says:

“Kamal, the product is strong. The value is real. But the UI is confusing. People don’t know where to start.
We need to reduce time-to-value to seconds… not minutes.”

That one insight alone blew my mind.

Because without a CTO, I never would’ve seen it.
I would’ve just assumed “people aren’t using the tool enough”… when in reality, they simply weren’t finding the value fast enough due to complicated UI.

One month in, and I can confidently say:

If you’re building a SaaS and you don’t have coding knowledge…
If you don’t have a technical co-founder…
Then you better have a CTO.

Otherwise, you’re going to pay the price later in ignorance debt, wasted development, and wrong assumptions.

Hiring my CTO didn’t just save me money.
It saved the entire direction of the product.

And we’re just getting started.

Your creative strategy ends at the buy box.

And that's exactly the problem.

I see $100M brands focused entirely on their Amazon listing pages.

⟡ Pixel perfect product photos.
⟡ Optimized Storefronts.
⟡ Detailed A+ Content.

They are building a beautiful house.
⤷ But they forgot to build a road leading to it.

The consumer is not sitting patiently inside the Amazon app waiting for your ad.

They are:
▣ Watching Prime Video on a Tuesday night.
▣ Listening to a podcast on their commute.
▣ Scrolling an external retail partner site.

If your creative doesn’t exist there, your brand doesn't exist to them.

Your "Amazon strategy" is now a distribution strategy.

A 15-second Prime Video spot requires a completely different narrative hook than a 6-second audio ad.
The creative must maintain consistency of message.
But allow for fluidity of delivery.

Amazon’s new tools, pushing content to Prime Video, audio, and external networks, are the distribution pipes.

The creative agency’s job is to craft the water that flows through them.
It must change shape but never change composition.

We now plan creative not for a single placement, but for a single brand feeling.

This requires three non-negotiables:

✱ The Core Hook:
A single, high-impact claim that works in three words or thirty seconds. This is the anchor.

✱ Audio-First Adaptability:
Can the message land powerfully when stripped of visuals (essential for podcasts/Alexa)?

✱ The External Bridge:
Does the creative link back seamlessly, not just to Amazon, but to the reason to buy now?

🟥 Stop thinking about how to get the consumer onto Amazon.
🟩 Start thinking about how to reach the consumer wherever they are.

And let Amazon’s pipes do the heavy lifting of delivery.

I’ve been getting this question a lot lately:
