I am a sales leader who believes consistency beats intensity and clarity beats motivation.

My foundation was shaped in the U.S. Air Force, where accountability is real and standards are not optional. After transitioning into real estate, mortgage, tech, and now the Home Equity Investment space, I have carried that same discipline into how I lead teams and build systems.

Today, I operate as a Manager of Sales. I am deeply data driven, but people first. I believe most burnout comes from confusion, not lack of effort. My role as a leader is to remove noise, define the right levers, and create environments where people can perform at a high level without burning themselves out.

Outside of work, endurance sports play a big role in how I think. Marathons and long distance Triathlon (140.6 Distances) have reinforced lessons I bring into leadership every day. Progress is built in the quiet hours. Identity cannot be tied to a single race or result. The work that compounds most is usually invisible and uncelebrated.

That mindset carries into how I lead. I care about long term development over short term spikes. I focus on building durable habits, clear frameworks, and repeatable execution. I am less interested in hype and more interested in what actually holds up over time.

Not all of it, but most of it.

It is a bunch of people “building relationships” until they need something.

Then suddenly you get:

Hey hope you’re doing well
Quick question
Can I pick your brain
Got 15 minutes this week

That is not networking.
That is a drive by sales attempt with a smile.

Real networking looks like this:

You help when you do not need anything.
You make intros without keeping score.
You show up consistently.
You check in like a human, not a template.

If the only time you reach out is when your pipeline is low, you do not have a network.

You have a contact list.

They are winning because they are consistent, boring, and they do the hard stuff when they do not feel like it.

Also, if you are posting about how hard you grind at 1 AM, you are not a grinder.
You are a content creator who forgot to log off.

Sleep is not lazy.
Sleep is strategy.

If you keep your read receipts on, you are genuinely one of the most dangerous people walking around.

Here’s the truth about “Claude can get you 1,000 leads per day” posts.

No it can’t.

It can get you 1,000 names.

A lead is not a spreadsheet.

A lead is a person who actually has:
a problem you solve
a reason to fix it
a budget
and some level of intent

A name, phone number, and email is not a lead.

That’s a contact.

And if you blast 1,000 contacts a day, you did not build pipeline.

You built spam.

The funniest part is watching people celebrate:
“Claude found me 5,000 leads!”

Congrats.
You found 5,000 strangers who now hate your domain.

Real lead gen is slower and more boring:

Right target
Right message
Right timing
Real conversation
Follow up like an adult

If you want actual leads, stop chasing volume and start chasing intent.

Last night I dropped 41 in my men’s league.

Not because I’m some NBA talent.

Because I know exactly what works.

I get to my spots.
I attack the mismatch.
I take what the defense gives me.
And I do it over and over until the game is out of reach.

That is exactly how it feels when we review a company’s PEO setup.

It is not complicated.
It is just math, process, and control.

PEOs love to sell “all in one.”

Then you look closer and you find:
pricing that keeps creeping
fees hiding in plain sight
coverage that is not as strong as it was pitched
support that disappears when you need real answers
and a lot less control than you expected

We take that apart the same way I took apart the defense last night.

We move you into a better situation with:
payroll
HR support
benefits
workers comp

Better rates.
Better coverage.
Better customer service.

And you keep control of your business.

Email beats cold calling.

Not because calls do not work.
Because email scales and compounds.

With email you can do real volume that is still targeted.
You can hit 500 to 1000 decision makers a day without sounding like a robot.

Business owners can open it when they have a second.
Between jobs.
After payroll.
At night.
On a Sunday.
They are in control, which makes them more likely to respond.

Cold calling demands they drop everything right now.
Most owners do not have that luxury.
So they ignore it.

Email also does not burn you out the same way.
You can stay consistent without living in rejection all day.
And consistency is the whole game.

The real magic is sequencing.

One email is not the point.
A good sequence is 10 to 14 touches over 2 to 3 months.

Short.
Clear.
Relevant.
With follow ups that feel human.

Some people reply day one.
Others reply on touch seven.
Some reply three months later when the timing is right.

That is what cold calling cannot do.

Calls are a moment.
Email is a pipeline.

If you are only calling, you are starting from zero every morning.

If you are emailing with a real sequence, you are building a machine that pays you back right away as well as later.

Tip culture is broken.

Customers hate the iPad spin.
Workers rely on tips to pay bills.
Owners get stuck in the middle trying to hire and retain people while margins stay tight.

And the weirdest part is we all pretend it is normal.

We built an entire system where:
the employee’s paycheck depends on the customer’s mood
the customer feels guilted into covering payroll
and the owner gets blamed no matter what happens

If tips are expected everywhere, they stop being a reward for great service.
They become a hidden fee.

If tips are not enough, employees get frustrated.
If owners raise prices to pay higher wages, customers get mad.
If nobody tips, employees leave.

It is a lose lose loop.

My take:
Restaurants need clarity.

Either build comp that pays people well without begging customers, or keep tips but stop expanding tip expectations into every industry on earth.

Because right now everybody is annoyed.

Email works better then cold calling. PERIOD.
