How I added millions in revenue for SaaS startups without scaling a single one myself:

I was working at a Big 4 consulting firm, but understood that corporate life wasn't for me...

I left to launch ecom businesses. Have grown a jewelry store, dropshipped backpacks, and even sold dog toys on marketplaces.

The e-com businesses were working, but I wanted a new challenge and started building startups with no-code tools.

I spent years making every startup mistake you can imagine, spent tens of thousands of dollars, and earned a ton of expensive scars.

How I did this:

1) Tested a hell lot with every startup I worked with (I'm talking tens of thousands of messages, multiple personas and channels)

2) Noted every strategy that worked, acknowledged it when one didn't, and saved why this happened

3) Continuously analyzed common patterns between startups that add revenue and those who don't

4) Focused on doing one thing for years

5) Have always been testing my approaches on my own business. Customer acquisition, sales, operations. Whatever I coach on, I tried in the past or currently doing for myself.

Niching down to B2B SaaS who are selling through product demos made my business & life a ton easier:

Everything started with my obsession for photography. Ever since I picked up a camera for the first time I fell in love with the proces: creating something that otherwise would not exist!

One of the most rewarding feelings was to see the joy of my clients once they hold their final pictures in their hands. Many of them struggled to like pictures taking of them until they had a shooting wit me.

Soon I relaized that if I want to improve my services, i would also need to improve my equipment. That's when I started to also photographed weddings and products of different businesses. 

In order to generate more business, I started coldcalling and visiting different businesses. Driving around, knocking on people's doors was my first real sales experience at 17 years old. 

I still have a passion for photography even though it isn't my main professional focus at the moment since I decided to focus more on improving my sales skills.

I believe that life is a lesson. We are all here to learn something, and the best way to grow is by constantly taking on new challenges. 

Striving, failing, trying again and eventually succeeding. I see problems as opportunities, and I feel the most fulfilled when I can work towards a goal that is just without my comfort zone. A vision that forces me to stretch my imagination.

Everybody came with certain talents and interests. I have always been obsessed with the art of communication and tried to use my skills in that field to build bridges and foster collaboration between people. I love to solve problems and find creative ways to tackle a challenge. That's why I love working in sales.

At 16 I realized that I was more interested in entrepreneurship than engineering, which is why I pivoted from a higher technical college to one with a focus on business, sports & nutrition where I was also active as a student representative for carinthia.

During this time I got a certification as a Fitness Instructor and discovered my passion for photography during a trip to Morocco. 📸 To make this sustainable, I knocked on doors and cold-called businesses -this was my first real sales experience. 

While I got more interested in sales & communication I got the chance to work with a big insurance company where I received substantial education and training. In order to support the Full Sales Cycle I needed to pass the master's exam at the Austria Chamber of Commerce which I did in my final year of Graduation.

I always loved to travel the world so when I got the chance to go to Africa with one of my best friends, I didn't think twice. 🌍

During my year of volunteering at a child's orphanage in Tansania, I learned a lot about life, the art of adaptation, and resilience. Being completely off the grid (Limited water, food and network), comes with it's challenges :)

Once that chapter of my life ended, I saw that b2match was looking for a Salesperson in Vienna. The idea of working in a SaaS company that helps event organizers to connect their attendees in a meaningful way, fascinated me. That's when I had my first interview with a surprisingly stable internet connection in the Tanzanian bush and where my journey in B2B & B2G SaaS Sales began.
