I'm a Product Manager with experience working cross-functionally with business roles (e.g. Marketing, Finance, Sales), technical roles (e.g. Backend and front-end engineers, data scientists) as well as designers and UX researchers to bring products to life that make our users' problems and pain-points go away!

I have experience working with Web and Mobile products, AI and Machine Learning - There's something really fascinating about using data to try and predict the future. I'm a big believer that every model should be thoroughly thought from an AI Ethics point of view.

As a product manager I have to wear different hats every day and I excel at working cross-functionally. My experience and feedback has taught me that I bring value to the teams I work with because:

- I empathize with users and speak: geek, data whisperer, designer, marketer and salesperson. At some point I also tried to learn Shriiwook (I've always wanted to understand Chewbacca like Han did). Understanding means fewer mistakes, and mistakes can be very costly.

- I'm passionate about understanding customers, too many people use "customer obsession" as buzzwords in their resume.

- I leave the BIG ideas to the Elon Musks of the world. A good Strategy, Vision and Execution drives products forward - I do these three.

- I'm an engineer at heart and a musician at soul - I like to combine logic with creativity

- I'm the calm one. I'm the one that plans.

TOPdesk

At TOPdesk, I was responsible for establishing and communicating the long-term vision and direction for the TOPdesk platform and its surrounding ecosystem. In this, I closely collaborated with the rest of the product management team, marketing, the business, our customers and market analysts.

My responsibilities included:
- the gathering of customer, user and business insights (through interviews, analytics and market studies), and translating this to a direction for our product.
- establishing a long-term roadmap in collaboration with our product owners, customers, the business, marketing, our UX department and product development.
- communicating our product direction and roadmap through blogs, webinars and public presentations, and enabling others to also share our product stories (in collaboration with marketing).
- supporting and coaching product owners, development teams and partners to ensure we generate as much value with our products as possible.

Furthermore, I was the product representatives in the project team that was, in collaboration with the TOPdesk board, in charge of redefining TOPdesk's long-term corporate strategy.

As an Enterprise Service Management application, TOPdesk excels in bringing different departments together to provide an excellent service experience to their customers. However, to truly provide an optimal service delivery, internal service departments often rely on the expertise of partners outside of their organisation.

As Product Lead of 'the Network', I was responsible for improving this collaboration between internal service departments and their suppliers, partners and external experts.

With two product owners and three development teams, we focused on improving our supplier management capabilites, the integration possibilities with third-party Service Management tooling and the creation of the TOPdesk Collaboration Platform: the out-of-the-box platform to enable seamless collaboration with other TOPdesk customers.

During this time, I was also the Product Owner for one of the 'the Network' development teams.

Connectis

At Connectis, I was responsible for establishing the long-term direction and strategy for the Connectis product portfolio. This direction was based on a combination of stakeholder interviews, customer and user research and competitor and trend analysis. Next to this, I was responsible for conveying this product vision to development and collaborating with them to create a value-driven, feasible roadmap.

As the lead of the Product Management department (reporting directly to the management team), I spearheaded the growth and professionalisation of the Product Management department, helping the product organisation to organise itself for future growth.

Additionally, I was the product owner of two of the (international) scrum teams.

As one of the two first UX Designers at Connectis, I was tasked with the responsibility of improving the user journeys and creating the UI for their digital identity management system. My main tasks were product development (creating scenarios, personas, site maps and rich internet application design) and identifying and mapping customer needs and wishes through user research and usability studies (including context mapping, interviews, personas, journey mapping, literature/web/competitor analysis).

Responsible for attracting potential TOPdesk customers. Working at the pre-sales department, I was in charge of making initial contact with potential clients and inform them about the advantages TOPdesk could have for their company.

Responsible for four editions of the Turn The Page, the i.d study association magazine with a circulation of 6900 copies. Next to writing and designing my own articles I was responsible for the final editing of the magazine.
