I work at KTH Innovation at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, where I help researchers and students turn ideas and research into viable ventures. My focus is on commercialization, go-to-market strategy, and execution.Alongside my university role, I build and scale ventures.I am the Founder of Mellanmål Inc, a platform bringing Nordic, better-for-you food brands to the US market. The work is hands-on and operational: product and packaging decisions, FDA and regulatory setup, distribution, retail and e-commerce, partnerships, and fundraising.I am also the Founder of Entrepreneurs Without Borders, a global nonprofit supporting impact ventures aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We organize through local Impact Chapters—groups that meet regularly to support entrepreneurs locally while connecting into a global network.As a keynote speaker, I speak internationally on innovation, leadership, and change. My keynotes are grounded in lived experience from building companies, raising capital, and working with founders and organizations under pressure to change.I’m open to conversations with investors, donors, strategic partners, and am available for keynote and speaking engagements internationally.

Fitness Instructor

I have been working as a fitness instructor since 1994. I started out at a small but great gym called Saga Motion and then moved on to Olympic Fitness in Göteborg, that was later aquired by SATS, and at the same time I started working as a boxing instructor. When I moved back to Stockholm I moved over to Kroppskultur and evolved into kickboxing and more classic boxing. After that I spent five years at World Class Vasastan and nowadays you'll find me at Nordic Wellness Odenplan Stockholm.

Ylva became the EUWIIN international 2013 overall platinum inventor winner of the year for her X-ray  protection - the MID way  

In 2006 Ylva Ryngebo was named Swedish Female Inventor of the Year, and received, as the first woman, a grant from the newly established Margareta Foundation.

In 2004 Medical Innovation Design – MID AB received the City of Stockholm Inventor Award for the marking tool Easymark Dx-Sin.

Ylva Ryngebo – Radiographer, Inventor & Entrepreneur in Medical Technology

With her background as a licensed radiographer, Ylva Ryngebo experienced firsthand the challenges and limitations of existing radiology aids. Her work at Sophiahemmet in Stockholm revealed gaps in patient care and workflow efficiency, inspiring her to create practical solutions that simplify processes for both healthcare professionals and patients.

Driven by these insights, Ylva developed innovative tools designed to enhance efficiency, safety, and patient comfort in radiography. This involved designing and testing prototypes, collaborating with colleagues and medical technology experts, and navigating patenting and regulatory approval processes.

As an entrepreneur, Ylva also manages the complexities of funding, marketing, and distribution—turning her inventive ideas into scalable solutions for hospitals and healthcare facilities. Her work exemplifies the critical role of hands-on clinical experience in driving meaningful innovation within healthcare.

Beyond her contributions as an inventor, Ylva is actively engaged in supporting the next generation of innovators. As a board member of AJM (Agne Johanssons Minnesfond) and SKAPA—foundations dedicated to fostering invention and innovation—she brings her expertise and guidance to help new inventors transform ideas into viable products and services.

Through her work, Ylva Ryngebo not only advances medical technology but also champions the value of practical experience and insight in creating solutions that make a real difference in healthcare.
