I am an executive leader with 25+ years driving product innovation, commercialization, and growth in the global lighting and hard goods industries. Trained as a mechanical engineer and shaped by entrepreneurial environments, I specialize in translating emerging technologies into scalable, market-defining products that deliver measurable business results.

Throughout my career I have guided teams to deliver industry “firsts” that reshaped entire categories — including the first mass-market LED downlight module (LR6), the first LED troffer family (CR), and the first sub-$10 LED bulb sold nationally through Home Depot. These innovations not only accelerated adoption of solid-state lighting but also generated hundreds of millions in revenue while establishing new industry benchmarks.

My leadership has spanned startups, intrapreneurial ventures, and established corporations. I have directed global cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and supply-chain experts; managed multimillion-dollar development budgets; and built partnerships with retailers, suppliers, and OEMs to bring breakthrough products to market at scale.

As markets and technologies evolved — from traditional lighting to LEDs, semiconductors, color science, and human-centric lighting — I have consistently adapted, applying systems thinking to complex technical and business challenges. This adaptability, paired with a deep curiosity, enables me to connect disparate ideas into solutions that create lasting competitive advantage.

What I value most, however, is building and empowering teams. Many of my proudest accomplishments stem from mentoring professionals who have gone on to leadership roles of their own. I believe innovation thrives when people are supported, challenged, and inspired to aim higher.
