Very harsh truth:

I’ve seen profitable businesses collapse because:

And the sentence I hear right before things break?

Just before Christmas 2024, I was called into a business doing over $3 billion in annual sales.

Sales were growing.

Margins were improving.

Profit was rising.

The board was celebrating.

Six months later, the company was negotiating survival.

Not because demand disappeared.
Not because costs exploded.
Not because strategy failed.

But because customers were paying too slowly.

Receivables had grown faster than revenue.

Working capital had collapsed.
Banks tightened facilities.

Why Your IP Is Not Increasing Valuation

Most founders believe that “having IP” increases valuation.

It doesn’t.

IP only increases valuation when it is predictably monetised.
