I began my career in social work by working in refuges, where I focused on supporting children and young people dealing with mental health, drug and alcohol, and complex trauma issues. Through dedication and hard work, I progressed from a Team Leader within the refuges to a case worker in the social work team, and ultimately became the Team Leader of the Case Work Team.

During my tenure as a Manager in the social work field, I honed my communication skills to an expert level, recognizing their paramount importance when working with young individuals with traumatic backgrounds. Effective communication is crucial not only in supporting these children, but also when engaging with external stakeholders such as government entities, lawyers, judges, social workers, and parents. In this role, I was entrusted with being the voice for those who couldn't speak for themselves. I navigated complex situations by skillfully balancing the perspectives of different parties, ensuring that the child's best interests were at the forefront. This required exceptional mediation skills and the ability to objectively present relevant facts while empathizing with all involved.

Furthermore, as a Manager, I successfully led and managed a team that responded to crises and supported caregivers responsible for these children. I took on the responsibility of chairing and facilitating presentations, ensuring that they were conducted smoothly and effectively, meeting the desired objectives. Equally important was my role in empowering my team with the necessary skills to communicate and advocate for their clients.

Throughout my career, I have continually developed and leveraged my communication and presentation skills to positively impact the lives of those I serve. I am dedicated to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals, utilizing my expertise in communication and presentation to provide the necessary support and advocacy.
