It is easy to get caught up in tasks, but people want leaders who slow down, listen to concerns and take actions that address those concerns.

The question of whether we should push our employees or pull our employees can be a tough one.

Have high standards. If you lead correctly, your employees will want to do their best to match or exceed those standards.

Hi, I am Pooja, a Start-up lawyer by profession and an entrepreneur at heart. 

Ever since I visited Silicon Valley after completion of my Masters (LL.M) in Business and Entrepreneurship, I was inspired by the start-up ecosystem there. My entrepreneur friends in India struggled to get their basic services and ended up investing a lot of time doing everything, but BUSINESS. 

I absolutely fell in love with start-ups and the energy around it, when I started my law and business firm "The StartupGIG" in 2015. I understood the Indian ecosystem and worked to create a smooth runway for Indian startups. 

We initially offered only legal services, but, in no time, we escalated to include every service a startup would need in its entire lifespan. Offering all the services a start-up needs under one roof, while being affordable was our main objective. 

While we quickly got a lot of start-ups trusting us, sustainability was challenging. Providing efficient services at low costs was difficult. We had to refrain from taking a lot of decisions, which would immediately get us the tag of a "corporate law firm". We had cash issues, however, we loved what we were doing. 

However, these setbacks did not stop me form experimenting and trying new things. In the year, 2018 cryptocurrency and bitcoin startups boomed and we suddenly had a lot of startups in the Fintech space wanting to set up business in Singapore. Fintech was new to us, but, we took up the challenge and eventually became one of the leading firms to assist start-ups in the India - Singapore Passage. 
 
Since 2015, we have worked with over 950 start-ups and  helped them in almost everything they need. Start-up Law, Taxation and Accounting Services, Shared CFO's, India and Singapore Business Advisory, Fund Advisory and Fund Structuring, Fund Raising, Venture Capitalist Negotiations etc. 

We have a great rapport with Investors as well and  manage Investor Portfolios and help them invest in the right kind of startups. 

I have  advised Incubations and Accelerators globally &  provided them with Incubation Management Systems. We are now on our way to create an ecosystem for innovators in India, whereby they would get an access to resources and end to end support.
