At 11, I became a regional Chess champion

At 17, I was ranked #1France, #9Worldwide on a competitive video game, and selected to represent France in the World Cyber Games

At 20, I played Poker professionally and by 23 had been sponsored to play in the biggest tournaments across the globe

At 24, I invested my poker gains and launched an award-winning startup

That ultimately failed. Miserably.

The logical next move was to acquire those skills and build credibility.

Hence, for the bigger part of my career, I worked at top consulting firms (SKP, BCG) and in corporate Strategy (Crypto.com)

There is a common denominator in everything I undertake: consistent stellar performance, in competitive high-stakes environments.

I eventually gathered the courage to be an entrepreneur again, and founded OneDrip, a Health Tech startup.

Then the Generative AI revolution started.

I’m currently training to become an Early Childhood Educator under Singapore’s Career Conversion Programme (CCP). As a Trainee Educator at Star Learners, I support the holistic development of young children while pursuing my Diploma in Early Childhood Education at NIEC.

Alongside this, I run Uli’s Kitchen, a home-based venture preserving the art of traditional Malay kuih with inclusive options like vegan, gluten-free, and diabetic-friendly varieties. This journey has strengthened my skills in customer engagement, brand building, and small business operations.

Before my pivot to education, I spent 24 years in the tech sector across customer service, technical support, program management, and sales operations, focusing on improving service delivery and leading cross-cultural teams.

I also created JulesAI OS, a personal AI system that helps me streamline learning, operations, caregiving, and creative projects. It reflects my passion for practical AI, workflow design, and empowering others through clear systems.

I don’t attend many networking events these days.


Between a work-study schedule and ongoing Uli’s Kitchen orders, my calendar is intentionally tight.

But when Sheila invited me to the Founders’ Homecoming at Nanyang Polytechnic, I knew I had to make time.

Another reason I said yes was the support I received from Sheila and Eunice during the early days of Uli’s Kitchen through entrepreneurship workshops and mentoring that helped shape my foundation as a small business owner.

I’m glad I went.

The student founders impressed me. From coffee jelly and a haunted escape room concept to card games designed to help seniors become more digitally savvy, their ideas were not just creative, but well executed and confidently positioned.

Honoured to have Uli’s Kitchen featured on the Alumni Founders’ Spotlight Wall alongside fellow founders.

And the door gift? Fresh microgreens from Green Loop ~ vibrant, beautiful and delicious in my pasta last night.

It has been a stressful but fulfilling week.


Yesterday, I completed my 11th module, Art & Creative Expression in my accelerated 13-month diploma journey. Juggling work with assignments and tight deadlines was mentally and physically exhausting. The studio time given to us to create art pieces was a much-needed therapy that I didn’t know I needed.

I underestimated how intense an accelerated programme can be. But the encouragement from peers and supportive lecturers made it manageable.

Four more months to go. Hoping I have the stamina to finish strong.

On the bright side, I’ve discovered a new way to de-stress ~ making collaborative art. Creating something together feels even more therapeutic than doing it alone.

A recent visit to Children’s Museum Singapore brought me straight back to my childhood.


The trip was part of a recce for a preschool field visit.

But what surprised me was how many pieces of my own memories were preserved there.

From the chendol shaved ice machine and biscuit tins in sundry shops, to colourful toys we once begged our parents for.. These were not just objects. They were lived experiences.

Seeing Roti Jala listed under endangered hawker foods felt personal. Preserving traditional Malay kuih is one of the reasons I started Uli’s Kitchen. The kueh moulds on display, brass and wooden, reminded me that heritage survives only when someone chooses to carry it forward.

I learnt to read and write Jawi during Sunday school as a teenager. It reminded me that language, like food, carries memory. When we lose language, we risk losing stories.

I also smiled at the public payphones and the iconic orange Vespa from Singapore Telecoms. Simple things, but they tell stories of how Singapore evolved.

As educators, field trips are not just outings. They are opportunities for children to connect past and present, to understand culture, identity and community.

Children’s Museum Singapore offers free entry for Singapore Citizens and PRs (registration requires an adult accompanying a child below 12).

If you have a child, it’s worth a visit.

Malay kuih traveling across six locations over the weekend!


That’s what Uli’s Kitchen kuihs did on Saturday and Sunday. As a solopreneur, juggling multiple kuih orders can be challenging, but with #JulesAI (my personal AI system), I was able to complete six platters with four different kuihs without stressing out.

I used it to plan an efficient kitchen workflow, mapped the delivery routes, troubleshoot minor kuih issues and even discussed plating ideas.

The kuih themselves are still prepared the traditional way ~ mixed, steamed and plated by hand.

Technology didn’t replace the craft.
It simply helped organise the process so I could focus on preserving traditional Malay kuih.

A classmate recently asked if I had filmed something with CNA because she thought she saw me on TV.

I mentioned about a SkillsFuture video interview I did in 2024.

What surprised me most was hearing that the video inspired some of my classmates.

It reminded me of something simple but important:
