In this role, I was responsible for developing and implementing Teva's "beyond the pill" brand strategy in the first-priority growth markets. We completed global rollouts using a "hyperlocal" strategy. This involved creating a unique implementation plan for each geography based on insights and research specific to that region.

My responsibilities included leading workshops, training and mentoring local teams, and ensuring the delivery of human-centric, coherent, digital-led solutions aligned with the new brand strategy. For example, in one of the world's biggest megacities, we focused on improving accessibility. We provided unique content on our corporate website for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. This included digital services like a mobility map that helped disabled and wheelchair-bound patients navigate and find access-friendly healthcare facilities, pharmacies, entertainment, and other relevant places.

The new Teva brand aimed to present a unified identity that spanned both the company's specialty and generic portfolios while promising even more people around the world the chance to live better days.

Digital Vocabulary – 20th Annual Webby Awards Official Honoree

Self-funded and produced an award-winning educational project to empower people to understand their digital life and be self-aware when navigating modern media and technology. The project was called "Digital Vocabulary," and it studied the ongoing relationship between modern humans and digital media and technology. The idea behind starting this project was simple: our vocabulary determines our thinking, and our thinking determines our actions and everyday rituals.

The project provided thought-provoking content presenting new words, phrases, concepts, behavioral patterns, and simple ground rules that helped people build a bigger picture of the modern digital landscape and our behavior. The long read delved into questions about why we are constantly pulled to the Internet and how technology is changing our social life and humanity itself.

To answer these questions, we researched how the internet and gadgets shape our behavior and define modern humanity. We studied daily internet and gadget usage experiences and researched ordinary users, artists, developers, designers, and even monks. Furthermore, we analyzed and processed technology research materials and thoughts from media philosophers

Anyone else use zero-based calendaring (or time boxing)?

I’ve been using it for the past few years, designing each day from scratch instead of letting my calendar fill reactively.

It completely changed how I work and how I feel.

My days are calmer, more focused, and I actually follow through on what matters most.

My approach was inspired by ideas from Nir Eyal on time boxing and Cal Newport on deep work and flexibility.

Some of the things that have been key for me:
✅ Planning my day that morning instead of the night before
✅ Building exercise and meditation directly into my workday
✅ Completely fill my workday calendar (see pic of today's calendar)
✅ Adjusting on the fly instead of trying to stick to a rigid plan

I created this entire carousel in about 30 seconds.

I simply pasted my latest Substack post into Gamma, and this is what it produced with zero editing.

I’ve created thousands of presentations over the last decade or two. For most of that time, PowerPoint was my go-to. Eventually I put in the effort to switch to Beautiful.ai, and once I got over the learning curve, it became a big upgrade and a tool I genuinely loved.

But Gamma showed me real value almost instantly. The first experience felt intuitive, fast, and full of possibility in a way that most products take days or weeks to earn. I wasn’t expecting much, but what it generated really surprised me.

It made me reflect on how important the first moments of a product experience really are. While much of my writing and workshops over the years highlight the importance of quickly delivering the "aha moment," creating something this strong with so little effort on the user's part required real out-of-the-box thinking and a lot of testing from the Gamma team.

Quick heads-up for anyone using LegalZoom as a registered agent.

My annual fee quietly jumped from $299 to $499 this year without any notice. That is already two to three times the cost of other reputable providers. With a quick check using ChatGPT, I realized I could switch to Northwest Registered Agent, LLC for around $125.

LegalZoom was kind enough to refund the difference, but the cat was out of the bag, and I will be switching before the next, much higher-priced renewal.

This is the new reality. In the age of AI, customers have near-perfect information. Price increases without clear communication do not just frustrate customers; they also undermine trust. They make it very easy for customers to move on.

If you want to keep customers, treat them well, communicate clearly, and do not assume they are locked in. They really are not anymore.
