A product focused on building an AI based Assistant for Social Media, with a focus on  the SMEs and Influencer markets. The product got featured in Tech in Asia and was exhibited in Rise Conference in Hong Kong 2018. 

It raised capital from Third Lane Ventures, a Micro-VC based in Sri Lanka and also raised Capital from Singapore and established the business there. Alakazam also participated in the AI/ Blockchain Accelerator in Taiwan conducted by AppWorks.

I'm Dulitha, a seller trapped in an engineer's body. My journey began when I was 15, with writing a book, securing a family loan to self-publish, and using the proceeds to buy my first laptop. Talk about bootstrapping!

I believe persuasion is an art form, and true artists master it. Currently, I'm building Aristotle, the ultimate sales follow-up tool that's lightning-fast, giving sellers more time to, well, sell.

My career's been a wild ride:
• Started as a 16-year-old software engineer in retail (paid from the company's "incidental" budget 😉)
• Developed the world's first Open Source MDM at WSO2, used by Softbank and Fortune 500 companies
• Transitioned to pre-sales, consulting for US and Australian firms
• Launched a micro-SaaS helping self-published authors become Amazon bestsellers (spoiler: it worked!)

Then came the entrepreneurship rollercoaster:
• Scaled CabbageApps, a software dev firm, to 50 engineers working globally
• Launched multiple ventures:
  - Aristotle (Sales Automation AI) → Venture-backed, early traction, chasing PMF
  - HyperGlade (Real World Assets to Web3) → Similar story to Aristotle
  - AsyncInterviews (One-Way Video Interview Platform) → Lifestyle micro-SaaS
  - Urban.lk (Sri Lankan E-commerce) → Slowed post-2022 economic crisis
  - Alakazam (Marketing Automation) → Failed (thanks, Facebook API changes!)
  - KDP Rocket → Successful and exited

▪ Secured funding from Silicon Valley VC Draper Associates by designing and
delivering the pitch for the firm.

▪ Fostered partnership with MasterCard Singapore and conducted sessions for the banking sector on Web3 for Indonesian and Sri Lankan markets.

▪ Manages a sales team and clients from US, Europe, Hong Kong and Sri
Lanka.

▪ Developed a currency-agnostic payment option for NFTs by introducing a fiat currency-
based infrastructure in partnership with MasterCard to expand the NFT market.

▪ Conducted due diligence, company incorporation, signed vesting agreements with
founders, and transferred the IP to the US within 2 weeks.

▪ Spearheaded Sri Lanka’s 1st NFT auction by collaborating with 6 artists. Result: within 24
hours. Reduced the customer journey duration by 62.5% by using an onramp to develop an NFT
marketplace.

▪ Organized BAOLYMPICS hackathon (Official Side event of Singapore Fintech Festival), which allowed
100+ global participants to use Hyperglade technology and build blockchain use cases, with participants attending from Singapore, Australia, Dubai and Sri Lanka.

▪ Coordinates new product development; in 3 months launched a blockchain product in
capital markets/manufacturing and secured 10 clients (pre-product) within 5 months.

▪ Decreased operating costs by 90%.

▪ Analyses legal frameworks, marketing structures, and assists with budget analysis and
forecasting to maintain business operations.

▪ Liaises with investors, legal, marketing, technical, design, public relations, finance, and
sales teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

▪ Educates clients and markets on NFTs, including hosting 10+ workshops (averaging 100
attendees each) for NGOs, PwC Sri Lanka, AccelerateHer (USAID), etc.

Consulted on the development and launch of an Education Technology (EdTech) platform
and led Go to Market (GTM) activities and launched the product in 3 months.

▪ Identified the product’s target audience, secured the first 100 users, and generated the
product’s initial revenue by successfully managing the product development life cycle.

A premium online store that delivers a superior e-commerce experience to Sri Lanka.
▪ Grew revenue by 100% YOY despite the COVID-19 pandemic and achieved 400% growth
post-pandemic in 2021 by increasing the product portfolio and boosting team morale.
▪ Evaluated the market and diversified the product offerings by onboarding local
manufacturers in line with market research and customer requirements.
▪ Achieved a marketing ROI of 15:1 through the optimization of digital advertisements,
increased brand awareness, and maximization of brand visibility.
▪ Won the John Keells X Accelerator program in 2019 by pitching the company to the
largest conglomerate in the country.
▪ Oversaw daily operations to maximize efficiency by heading development, customer
care, sales, and marketing teams and liaising with outsourced delivery departments.
▪ Launched “URBAN Gallery” – a marketplace for local digital artists, artisans, and canvas
artists; the first of its kind in Sri Lanka.
▪ Compiled financial projections and assisted in analysing the competition to arrive at the
optimal selling price for each product to capture the market.
▪ Built strong partnerships with major authorized dealers (John Keells PLC, Yamaha, JBL,
Samsung, Marshall, etc.) for the sale of multiple products (electronics, perfume, etc.).

Worked as the e-commerce consultant to Gapstars’ client: Topdrinks.nl and coordinated
the building of a remote team to execute operations for the client.

Founding member of Hyperglade, an ecosystem making Web3 and blockchain more accessible and commercially viable. Hyperglade raised $350,000 from legendary Silicon Valley VC fund Draper Associates in 2023, to make web3 more accessible. Hosted Sri Lanka's first NFT auction, and introduced currency agnostic payment options for NFTs, for the first time in the region. Launched several blockchain projects and events to showcase utility in real world scenarios. Hosted BAOlympics, as an official side event of the Singapore Fintech Festival. Hyperglade provides solutions for financial institutions, manufacturing and logistics companies.

Urban.lk:
Co-Founded Urban.lk, the Premium Online Store, bringing superior e-commerce experience to the Sri Lankan consumers. Urban won the John Keells X Accelerator in 2019 and is currently growing exponentially.
