Over my 12+ years in the data & analytics field, I've become a passionate promoter of the potential this field has to positively transform organizations and the careers of individuals.

In addition to my work as a practitioner in the field, I've frequently collaborated with others to help find ways to promote this potential, including the following:

I co-created and co-host the Data Careers Summit.  The mission of this event is to help individuals learn how to break into and move up in the analytics field. 

I created and co-host the Data Ideas Podcast to shine light on great work being done in the field, and the individuals that do it.

I frequently speak at industry events, on podcasts, during live courses, etc.

●	Created the largest Data warehouse for financial & billing information, which reduced duration to fulfill ad hoc requests from days to hours. Warehouse is used to collect revenue data, which is then reported to Wall St.
●	Used external market data and mapped it to internal data using Pandas (fuzzywuzzy algorithm), which helped commercial team identify potentially profitable practices to go after.
●	Data-mined, cleaned, transformed, verified, and fixed data errors for CT Covid invoices worth $9.5M in revenue. Discovered 25 additional invoices not part of the cohort sent by Billing team worth $1.4M.
●	Created the first billing system location dashboard using Tableau & SQL, which helped locate claims stuck in the system. Project found 400 unbilled claims, and billed them netting $315k
●	Created slew of dashboards (Tableau) used by Executive Leadership to monitor overall health of the company..
●	Mapped 5 data sources using Tableau Prep. Data is used by accounting & sales for self-serve analysis.
●	Currently working on starting first predictive modeling project for revenue projection using AWS Sagemaker.

ALYA FOODS

●	Led operations to build & manage ETL workflows using SQL & Tableau Prep to handle company’s financial data.
●	Parsed customer support tickets data from JSON to table format using PostgreSQL. Data was used to uncover the main issues for each product and how it trends by time.
●	Built & automated dashboards in Tableau to track consumer purchase trends which aided in reducing customer churn.
●	Created an automated warning system which identifies data anomalies and sends an email to stakeholders.

New York University, Division of Libraries

●	Used SQL to cut costs by an estimated $10,000 over 8 months by analyzing Arabic material invoices over past year and identifying duplicate material. Visualized data using Tableau.
●	Streamlined book cataloging workflow by grouping books with similar data parameters together. 
●	Trained & supervised 2 new employees, and created first ever documentation to help them navigate the system
●	Optimized, reduced time to locate books by a third through the creation of a new labeling system.

Data Analyst with experience in Tableau, Tableau Prep, SQL, Python, and various AWS services. Proficient in ETL and Data Warehouse design. Currently working on machine learning projects by implementing predictive modeling at work to create business value.
