Working with TEDxWabashCollege has truly been a blessing.

I've had the chance to test my leadership and management skills with a group of 30 students across Wabash College's campus, and also learn more about Event Planning and Marketing.

Our event has seen much success over it's four years, growing from 100 attendees to over 350 attendees, and selling out Wabash College's largest event venue.

We've also seen much professional growth, as our NPS Score has reached a new high of 78 over our 2018-2019 year.

My first position with TEDxWabashCollege was in the role of a curator.

For our 2018 event, I researched prominent topics on the TED platform, as well as topics that would be prominent to our local community.

With this information, I moved forward and contacted individuals that I believed would be powerful speakers to have at our event.

Once I decided on the three speakers I would like to bring to the event, I worked with these speakers to outline and develop their talks in the TED format. 

Then, it was the day of the event! I prepped each speaker on professional speaker techniques derived from TED to ensure their talk reached its potential.

Nothing got under my skin more than to wake up 30 mins early on a tuesday morning to tell my manager about my to-do list, so they could feel productive.

So, when I started Pneuma, I did my best to spin that model on it's head. 

1:1s shouldn't be about work. And if you're talking about a task list for more than 5 minutes, you're doing it wrong.

4 years into building Pneuma...

Plenty of reasons to have slack and email notifications on...

... and not a single one of them have changed my mind

I've done this for so long I assumed everyone else does it as well, but I don't think that's the case

I'll jump on a meeting with a vendor, and during the meeting the individual sharing the screen has to swipe away notifications every few minutes.

Why? What's the point?

Schedule time to check your notifications, or notifications will end up scheduling your entire day

PS - Use an app like Opal to block socials from your phone to not get distracted

PPS - Use Apple's DND mode to simply turn off everything.

It's time to reintroduce myself. 

WHY I BECAME THE AI CONCIERGE

I didn’t come up through Silicon Valley.

I didn’t raise a hundred million dollars or drop out of Stanford to chase the next big thing.

I built my career the old-fashioned way, by starting something that didn’t work, learning why, and doing it again until it did.

My first company was an edtech startup called Edustruct.
 
It failed...miserably.

But failure became my MBA in humility, people, and execution.

The next time around, I built an IT services company from the ground up.

No investors. 

No playbook. 

Just persistence, relationships, and the belief that trust beats polish every time.

We grew it into a multimillion-dollar organization, not because we had the best delivery, but because we had the best people.

That experience changed me.

I stopped chasing “innovation” and started chasing outcomes.

How to take complex ideas and make them work for real businesses, with real pain, in the real world.

And then AI hit.

Suddenly, everyone was an expert.

Every social media post screamed disruption.

And every leader said the same thing:

“We know AI matters… we just don’t know where to start.”

That’s when it clicked.

AI didn’t need another expert.

It needed a concierge.

A calm voice in the chaos.

Someone who could connect vision to execution, translate hype into reality, and guide teams toward outcomes that actually make sense.

That’s what I’ve always done.

Connect people, simplify complexity, and help organizations move with confidence.

Now I'm doing it in the world's largest platform shift ever.

What would Steve Jobs be building in the age of AI?

If I could sit down with one person who has passed, it would be Steve Jobs. 

One hour. 

No distractions. 

Just a conversation that reshapes how we see the world.

I think about this a lot.

How would he approach AI?

How would he think about the intersection of humanity and technology?

How would he build products and services that make people feel something?

Jobs had this rare ability to see around corners.

To simplify the complex.

To make the future feel obvious.

Most of all, he understood that technology means nothing unless it elevates people.

That is the part I carry with me today as I build in AI.

If Jobs were here, I think he’d challenge all of us to stop thinking about AI as software and start seeing it as a canvas.

A way to create. 

A way to amplify. 

A way to bring impossible ideas to life.

That is the world I want to help people navigate.

That is what being an AI Concierge means to me.
