I looked at this picture for a solid 30 seconds curious as to what even happened here. 

You ever notice how calm property managers are when they send these pictures too?

No emotion.

Just:

“Hey Josh, toilet broke.”

Broke?

Broke is when the handle doesn’t flush.

This toilet didn’t break.

This toilet retired from the industry.

I spoke to a guy who buys failing indoor sports complexes.

1. Basketball gyms
2. Old tennis centers
3. Underperforming ice rinks
4. Warehouse-style turf fields

Places that used to thrive on youth leagues… but never adapted.

He now monetizes the 40-year-old former athlete.

Here’s the thesis:

Millennials are aging.
They have money.
They miss competing.
But they don’t want public gyms.

They want:

- Community
- Competition
- Status
- Longevity

So he transforms old sports facilities into private performance clubs.

Membership-based adult performance ecosystems.

What he actually does:

- Converts courts into structured adult leagues with rankings and playoffs

By 25, I had retired from Corporate America.

In order to be a true value deliverer you must follow the “special” framework or SPCL for short.

This is the SPCL framework:

If you miss one, you stall, so let’s break it down. 

1️⃣ Status

This is your edge.

You must control something scarce that people genuinely want. 

It has to be something your audience can’t easily get on their own. 

So in real estate this could look like:

- Proprietary underwriting models
- A validated capital raising system
- Repeatable asset performance systems 
- High, unmatched, returns

That’s status. 

2️⃣ Power

Your words must produce results. 

You need the say-do correspondence. 

If you tell someone to do something, they do it, and a good outcome happens…

Your power increases. 

If your advice doesn’t work though, it destroys your power.

Not trust me, but truth this. 

4️⃣ Likeness

This is the human layer.

People: 

- Follow
- Listen
- Invest

With people that resemble them. 

People that act like them, think like them, look like them. 

You’re relatable.
You’re personable. 

So lean into that when creating your content. 

If you want to have real influence and add real value to people, you don’t need more views. 

You need more compliance. 

Your content should engineer influence that leads people to take action. 

Because real influence is the likelihood of compliance with a request 💯
