📍 From 2019 onwards, having paid royalty fees for stage plays, I’ve been running my own theatre company. My involvement in the company includes:
▪️ acting,
▪️ puppeteering,
▪️ puppet design,
▪️ scenography.

📍 My theatre company was founded on values which I consider important. The importance of these values, as it turns out, is being recognized, so much that they see application within various organizations - where they facilitate management, business processes, leadership and other vital spheres of activity. It motivated me to dive deeper into the subject and begin putting my knowledge into practice. As of today, I have almost 5 years of experience in fixing and optimizing the performance of various organizations.

 📍 Despite fierce competition, I still manage to find contract work abroad, not just Poland, which makes the quality of my (our) work more evident.
Such contracts are usually obtained by either: hearing about them through the grapevine, being noticed and contacted by an agent, or via cold calling - in the case of the latter, I utilize promotional material (trailers, performance recordings, pictures, story summaries). It’s crucial that I weigh my words during these important conversations. This is where my skills, honed on the stage and via business networking, come in - these are also the skills that I teach during my cooperation with various institutions.

📍 One of my core strengths is my determination and fast learning abilities. Łukasz Puczko made me an offer to co-run his theatre company because he understood that I put my heart and soul into my work.


📍 During my work for this theatre company, I perfected a dog puppet animation technique to a level where it was difficult to tell whether it was a puppet or an actual, living animal. In mere 3 months, via duplication exercises, I achieved a level of mastery normally requiring 9 years of continuous practice. I have raised my acting ability to a festival level.

📍 My involvement in the company includes:
▪️ puppet design / maintenance,
▪️ preparing the puppets for the performance,
▪️ representing the company internationally,
▪️ building relationships with event organizers - thanks to my efforts we were invited to the following festival,
▪️ tracking activity of other theater companies/freelancers in order to improve our own strategies.

📍 It’s usually rare for one to be invited back to the next iteration of a particular festival without changing one’s repertoire. It is a feat that we have managed to accomplish, however, which by itself is a testament to the quality of our work. This proves how important it is to invest time into building customer relationships in order to leave a lasting impression.

📍 My main goal is to tailor my work to each customer’s personality, matching their natural talents and skills. It puts the customer in a more comfortable position. The process, instead of being tiresome, offers prospects for enjoyable personal growth. The activities we perform aren’t the same tired, old routines but instead become an expression of the customer’s personality.

Divadlo Continuo Theatre (CZ)

📍 Divadlo Continuo Theatre is a cyclical event, taking form of summer workshops over the course of 1-1.5 months. I consider my participation in it a major personal success owing to the fact that:
▪️ I have qualified for the workshops 4 times in a row and on my 5th I was invited without needing to submit my own application.
▪️ I was recognized by the event’s organizers in my capacity as an actor and creator, as evidenced by the time I was given to perform on stage - which was relatively long with reference to the duration of the entire play. I view it as a major success, first of all because the project itself is prestigious, meaning that I had to compete with brilliant performers with high acting skills. Second of all, it was a major challenge to create a work which would match the show’s high standards and represent a certain level of sophistication while still remaining appealing to an average viewer; the director selected my work, which means I have met the aforementioned criteria.

▪️ involvement in screenwriting,
▪️ scenography in selected non-theatrical locations,
▪️ costume/puppet design

📍 Taking advantage of my natural rapport building skills, as well as the necessity to build an extra income stream, I decided to become a network representative. Already by the second month into my partnership I became the company’s 5th most valuable recruter based on my user registration performance - having registered 120 000 new users to the company’s platform.

Dating DeMistyfied

I am the Lead Facilitator and Co-Creator of the Dating DeMistyfied Workshop series. To put it bluntly, we simply change people's lives in this workshop. 
After thousands of hours of interviews with both men and women, and asking hundreds of questions, everything came together a few years back and coalesced into this workshop series that I have been leading this since mid-2009.
Every workshop has produced couples, so now I am considered a "dating coach." Oh boy! 
I am a member of "Dating Coaches International" a group that formed from graduates of Peaks Potentials (T. Harv Eker) programs and we are (as of 1/11/12) about two weeks away from publishing our first ebook together on dating and sex in 2012. I am honored to have been asked to participate and donate a chapter.

When I left NYC for SLC four years ago, I left our workshop in the capable hands of our event staff. I have discovered that Utah needs this workshop as much as New York did. Oh myyyyy.....

Build 1000 Homes-Volunteer

The "Build 1000 Homes Fund" is, at present, and "incubator" within MML building relationships with corporate sponsors and private organizations to raise awareness and funds. Thousands of families are still homeless due to the events of 10/29/2012 and have run out of options. The goal of our team is to "rebuild 1000 homes, one home at a time" lost during Hurricane Sandy. 

A recent question asked from a supporter was "what will you do after you build 1000 homes?" That's a GREAT question! The answer is simple: we intend on becoming a first responder to disasters with proper equipment, tools and training. This takes time, effort, and a tremendous amount of private and corporate support. My job is to enroll that support.

Our team has received fabulous training from Yellow Boots in Staten Island over the past year. They are an amazing not-for-profit and our plan is to build ourselves in their mold and continue to work hand-in-hand to rebuild devastated areas.

Update: after many homes we had worked on were flooded once again, after a simple bad rainstorm 6 weeks ago, our board decided that we were going about this the wrong way. After interviewing engineers, home-builders, and architects who built homes that survived Sandy, we discerned that FEMA has it right. For all red-carded homes in 1A affected areas: those homes need to be torn down, carted away, and 15' footings need to be installed. For a 1200 sq. foot home to be completely built and installed the price is $260,000.00. This is the way it needs to be done for these homes to survive the next storm and all natural disasters in flood zones.

This was a volunteer/unpaid position.

Through our network of leaders (many of whom are amazing women) we have volunteered countless times in public service, most recently demolishing and rebuilding hundreds of homes in the New York, tri-state area affected by Hurricane Sandy.

That is my motto and as anyone who knows me best, I am most comfortable with a camera in my hands. I take great pride, and experience a tremendous amount of joy when one of my photos brings a smile to someone's face.
This is compounded when the person in the photo is the one doing the smiling! 
It is my gift to be able to elicit smiles from complete strangers, and it is a blessing to be able to do this professionally for almost 30 years now.

With an average of 25 clients per week over a 19-plus year period, I can honestly state that my photos of children and families hang on the walls of more families in New York that any other living photographer. At our height in the early to mid 1990's our studio employed 6 photographers, 5 salespeople, 2 delivery people, a framer, a lab-guy, an office staff of three and an amazing general manager who kept the whole ball rolling while I was out playing with my camera and two month old babies. During that period we probably averaged 100-150 shoots per week. It was insane, but a great time in my life. Our specialties were Portrait Photography. Event Photography. Family Photography. Wedding photography. Sports Photography. Commercial and Boudoir Photography.

What would a unique piece of art do to lower your blood pressure and lift your spirits right now? Imagine a beautiful autumn mountain scene with explosive colors cascading across the canvas. Or a surging river of blues and greens rushing through mountain passes.

I mean different than other artists and creators?

I listen to the needs of my clients, carefully.

I engage my clients in the creative process, taking their own photos and creating works of art from them. Engaging them in naming each piece of art, often an entire family affair, making them a co-creator and signing the artwork right next to my signature. 

A recent client explained it to me this way when I asked why she was crying when I showed her the 4th piece of art I created from her photos of Antarctica.

She said "Oz, you don't understand...
...I am there...
I feel the cold on my face.
I feel the wind in my hair and the smell of diesel oil from the boats silent engines as we move with the wake of the ocean.
And no-one dares to speak to break the pristine silence.
And I am there again.
Thank you." 

I have heard similar words from other clients because the bond between them and the art, that they co-created will last lifetimes, and be handed down through generations.
