• Spearheaded the creative direction, business management, client service and team leadership of the studio.
• Launched the careers of several visual designers through work-based coaching and mentoring, some of whom have since started their own successful design businesses.

I'm an experienced UX leader and designer, currently Director of Design at myTomorrows, Amsterdam.

As lead my focus is clearing obstacles for my team, continuously improving the way we work (DesignOps) and collaborating with leadership to embed UX in company culture. I am NNg-certified in UX management and continuously expanding my knowledge and UX expertise. It is my firm belief that co-creation is superior to self-creation and so I try to foster a spirit of collaboration across departments.

Before moving to the Netherlands from South Africa I managed my own design studio and a team of designers. I have worked with multinational companies, small startups and everything in-between—in industries like fintech, logistics, hospitality, retail and even applied neuroscience—conceptualising and designing everything from brands, corporate identities, communication material, marketing collateral and the UI/UX of digital products. I have both broad and deep knowledge of visual and UX design.

I'm skilled at intricate UI design and optimising the user's experience. I'm good at creating design systems and applying them consistently. I can write for UX and I am good at taking work (visual design/communication) from good to great. I have empathy for the user and my teammates—I am in touch with the humanity of design.
