When you match your message to the prospect's awareness level, conversion rates can improve significantly though the exact lift varies depending on your market, offer, and execution.

Imagine you have a tummy ache, but you don't know it yet. If someone tries to sell you medicine, you'll ignore them because you don't think you need it

Eugene Schwartz noticed that people go through stages:

1) "I feel fine!" (Don't know there's a problem)
2) "Ow, my tummy hurts!" (Know something's wrong)
3) "I need medicine!" (Know solutions exist)
4) "What's that medicine called?" (Learning about specific options)
5) "I want THAT medicine!" (Ready to buy)

The big idea: You have to talk to people differently at each stage. You can't sell medicine to someone who doesn't know their tummy hurts yet.

Your marketing mix needs to have the right level of creative and spend at each stage in an intelligent level based on what your audience mix is and what stages of awareness your audience are actually at.

The first TikTok Shop win I'll never forget.

Early days, we were grinding through maybe 10 to 20 creator DMs every single day.

You never actually clock out.

Last Black Friday, it hit triple-digit growth and had its best sales day ever.

This year, the platform already beat that record back in June during the Summer Sale.

The biggest sales day of 2024 happened in the middle of summer.

Here's what's driving this:

But here's the part that actually matters:

TikTok Shop is solving the biggest problem in e-commerce, which is product returns.

Fashion returns cost UK retailers £5.2 billion annually.

It's all because people are watching someone with their body type try on the exact item before they buy it.

You're not guessing if it'll fit.
You're watching it fit someone who looks like you.

Here's what separates the brands crushing it from the ones struggling:
