When you match your message to the prospect's awareness level, conversion rates can improve significantly though the exact lift varies depending on your market, offer, and execution.

Imagine you have a tummy ache, but you don't know it yet. If someone tries to sell you medicine, you'll ignore them because you don't think you need it

Eugene Schwartz noticed that people go through stages:

1) "I feel fine!" (Don't know there's a problem)
2) "Ow, my tummy hurts!" (Know something's wrong)
3) "I need medicine!" (Know solutions exist)
4) "What's that medicine called?" (Learning about specific options)
5) "I want THAT medicine!" (Ready to buy)

The big idea: You have to talk to people differently at each stage. You can't sell medicine to someone who doesn't know their tummy hurts yet.

Your marketing mix needs to have the right level of creative and spend at each stage in an intelligent level based on what your audience mix is and what stages of awareness your audience are actually at.

E tutti mi dicono che il telefono è morto.

Ieri mattina.

La mia SDR senior, Anna, mi manda uno screenshot su Whatsapp:

"Paolo, ho appena bookato Gucci. VP of Digital Transformation. 45 minuti giovedì."

GUCCI.

Non una startup da €5M ARR.
Non una PMI che "ci pensa".

Gucci. €9.9 miliardi di revenue.

Come?

100% cold calling.

Zero email. Zero LinkedIn. Zero automation.

Solo una donna con un telefono e le palle di chiamare.

Ecco esattamente cosa ha fatto:

Prima ha studiato. Non il sito web. Ma i loro ultimi earnings call.

Ha scoperto che stanno investendo pesante in AI per personalizzazione cliente.

Poi ha chiamato. Non il centralino. Il numero diretto del VP.

"Buongiorno Dottoressa, sono Anna di (nome del nostro cliente). Ho visto che Gucci sta investendo €50M in AI per la personalizzazione. Lavoriamo con luxury brand che hanno la stessa sfida di scalare la personalization senza perdere l'esclusività del brand. Avrebbe per caso 30 secondi?"

La parte migliore?

Mentre i competitor mandano email template a "[First_Name]", noi parliamo con decision maker di aziende da €10B.

In italiano. Al telefono. Come esseri umani.

"Ma Paolo, Gucci è di altissimo livello. I VP non rispondo alle chiamate degli SDR!"

Esatto.

Ed è PROPRIO per questo che noi bookiamo e gli altri no.

Perché gli altri chiamano come SDR.

"Ciao, sono Marco di XYZ Company, vendiamo software per..."

CLICK. Chiuso.

Noi chiamiamo come consulenti che capiscono il loro business.

La differenza?

SDR normale: "Vorrei parlarle del nostro prodotto"
I nostri SDR: "Ho analizzato il vostro investimento in AI e vedo un gap specifico"

SDR normale: Legge uno script
I nostri SDR: Hanno studiato gli earnings call

SDR normale: "Posso mandarle una brochure?"
I nostri SDR: "Giovedì alle 15 va bene?"

I VP di aziende da miliardi non hanno tempo per vendor.

Ma fanno sempre tempo per chi può risolvere problemi da milioni.

Ecco perché mentre tutti si lamentano che "i C-level non rispondono", noi bookiamo Fortune 500.

Non è magia.

È che trattiamo i VP come VP. Non come email address in un database.

Ancora convinto che per parlare con le enterprise servano referral e warm intro?

Parlare dei propri fallimenti in pubblico è un rischio calcolato.


Da founder senti il bisogno di nasconderli dietro lezioni solo dopo averli affrontati. O peggio, li ometti per non fare brutta figura davanti ai tuoi clienti.

Ma il risultato è una narrativa che non aiuta a vendere, né ad essere trasparenti.

Nel vlog precedente la nostra pipeline era quasi al termine. In questo invece racconto esattamente cosa è cambiato per chiudere 6 clienti in 15 giorni e letteralmente quadruplicare il fatturato.

4 leve operative che abbiamo applicato in sequenza:

• Social in italiano: Pain point diretti ai CEO italiani. 70% di close rate su inbound.
• Discovery preparata: Account mappato, Champion costruito e problema validato.
• Case study: Lavori passati con SaaS che hanno abbassato la resistenza.
• Pricing allineato: Fisso + commissione sui risultati del cliente.

Il problema vero era avere pipeline insufficiente su cui testare e iterare.

Due cose che porto da questa fase ormai passata:

Non mollare quando tutto sembra impossibile, perché la svolta arriva sempre un passo dopo quello in cui avresti voluto smettere.

Investi nel team. Top player significano processi stabili e crescita sostenibile.

Appena raccolto funding.
Prodotto innovativo che migliora le performance del 50%.
Tutto perfetto sulla carta.

Ma gli investitori sono incazzati.

Perché chiudono solo il 10% dei deal.

DIECI. PER. CENTO.

Il founder mi mostra i numeri:

"Paolo, generiamo pipeline. Ma non chiudiamo un cazzo."

30 minuti di call e ho capito tutto.

Non è un problema di prodotto.
È un un disastro di processo.

Errore #1: Scambiano i blocker per champion

Il tipo che dice "interessante, ne parlo col team"?
Non è il tuo champion.
È il tuo assassino.

Mentre tu aspetti, lui sta già dimenticando chi sei.

Errore #2: Non raggiungono MAI il vero decision maker

Parlano col manager.
Fanno demo al team.
Presentano al direttore.

Ma il CFO che firma l'assegno? Mai visto.

Errore #3: Le loro demo sono presentazioni PowerPoint

45 slide sul "chi siamo".
20 minuti di feature.
Zero focus sul loro problema.

Il prospect si addormenta alla slide 3.

Errore #4: Chiudono con "fammi sapere"

BANG. Deal morto.

Hai appena dato il controllo a qualcuno che non gliene frega niente.

Ma ecco la parte che fa male:

I loro venditori non sanno di essere il problema.

Pensano di fare un buon lavoro.
In realtà stanno bruciando milioni.

La soluzione?

Non serve un corso di vendita.
Serve un sistema che funziona.

Ma perché loro non cercavano outsourcing.

Cercavano salvezza.

La call col CEO responsabile per l'Italia:

"Paolo, siamo indietro di 3 mesi sugli obiettivi commerciali."

"Qual è il problema?"

"Non troviamo SDR che sanno impugnare il telefono come una spada. Quelli che troviamo si abbattono al primo no."

BOOM. Musica per le mie orecchie.

"Quanto tempo per assumere e formare un team interno?"

"3-4 mesi per trovare le persone giuste. Altri 3 di ramp up."

"Quindi non fate in tempo per fine anno?"

Silenzio.

"No. Per questo voglio iniziare lunedì con te."

Ecco la verità che le enterprise non ammettono:

Non vogliono outsourcing.
Vogliono risultati ADESSO.

Il loro problema non è il budget.
È il tempo.

Mentre cercano l'SDR perfetto:
- I competitor chiudono i loro deal
- Gli obiettivi diventano irraggiungibili
- Il board inizia a fare domande scomode

Poi arrivano da noi.

Non come "fornitori esterni".
Ma come acceleratori di risultati.

La differenza?

Outsourcing tradizionale:
"Vi diamo risorse a basso costo"

Il nostro approccio:
"Lunedì avete 5 SDR senior che sanno già cosa fare"

Il CEO mi ha detto:

Il tuo ultimo SDR se n'è andato dopo 6 settimane.


Normale.

Hai provato a sostituirlo.
3 mesi di colloqui.
Zero candidati decenti.

E intanto il tuo competitor chiude deal che dovevano essere tuoi.

Real talk:

Non è che non ci sono SDR capaci in Italia.

È che quelli bravi non vogliono lavorare per te.

Perché dovrebbero lasciare un posto sicuro per la tua startup che forse esiste tra 12 mesi?

Perché dovrebbero accettare €25K quando guadagnano il doppio come freelance?

Perché dovrebbero scegliere te invece di un'azienda con processi già rodati?

Non dovrebbero. E infatti non lo fanno.

Risultato?

Assumi junior che non sanno tenere il telefono in mano.
Li formi per mesi (perdendo tempo che non hai).
Appena diventano decenti, se ne vanno.

Ripeti il ciclo. All'infinito.

Nel frattempo:

Q1: Pipeline vuota
Q2: "Stiamo assumendo"
Q3: "Il nuovo SDR sta imparando"
Q4: Panico

Il board ti chiede perché non cresci.

Tu indichi il mercato, la concorrenza, la stagionalità.

Mai la verità: Non hai un sistema di vendita che funziona.

Ecco il paradosso del SaaS italiano:

Per crescere ti serve un team sales.
Per avere un team sales ti servono soldi.
Per avere soldi devi crescere.

Giri in tondo mentre i tuoi competitor corrono.

C'è un'alternativa.

Invece di costruire, noleggia.

SDR senior che partono domani.
Niente formazione. Niente drama. Niente rischi.

Solo meeting qualificati mentre tu ti concentri sul prodotto.

"Ma voglio un team interno!"

Certo. Costruiscilo.

Dopo che hai validato il mercato.
Dopo che hai chiuso i primi €2M.
Dopo che puoi permetterti di sbagliare.

Non prima.

I founder intelligenti non costruiscono ponti mentre affogano.

Prima nuotano verso la riva.

Poi costruiscono.

Scrivimi 'NUOTA' se sei stanco di affogare nel recruiting.

📞 Il telefono non è morto. Ma la tua strategia di assumere junior sperando in miracoli probabilmente sì.

Ieri ho detto a un founder SaaS di Milano che fa €3M ARR di smetterla di prendere in giro il board.


"Stiamo ottimizzando il nostro processo di vendita," ha detto agli investitori.

La realtà:

Lui che fa ancora tutte le demo.
L'ultimo SDR assunto? Sparito dopo 2 mesi.
Pipeline che dipende al 100% dal founder.

Ma la parte peggiore?

Sapeva che stava mentendo.

Ecco cosa i founder italiani NON dicono al board:

"Ho assunto mio cugino come sales manager"
"Il nostro 'team sales' sono io e un intern"
"Abbiamo bruciato €150K in assunzioni sbagliate"
"Non ho idea di come costruire un sales team"
"Sto ancora scrivendo ogni cold email alle 23:00"

Invece recitano questo teatro trimestrale:

"Il team sta performando bene"
"La pipeline sta crescendo costantemente"
"Stiamo raffinando la nostra strategia"

Traduzione: "Sto affogando ma sorrido."

Il board non è stupido. Vedono attraverso le stronzate corporate.
Sanno che stai facendo founder-led sales.
Si chiedono perché non scali come i competitor.

Ma sono troppo educati per dire:

"Hai bisogno di aiuto. SUBITO."

Ecco la verità che i nostri clienti possono finalmente dire:

✅ "Abbiamo installato un sistema outbound che funziona"
✅ "52 meeting enterprise bookati questo mese"
✅ "€420K in pipeline qualificata"
✅ "Zero dipendenza dal founder"
✅ "Scalabile in base ai risultati, non alle speranze"

I board meeting? Possono diventare celebrazioni. Non confessionali.

Un cliente mi ha detto:

"Prima volta in 3 anni che non ho temuto la slide della pipeline."

Perché i numeri erano VERI.
I meeting con i decision maker erano bookati.
Il founder era finalmente libero di fare il CEO.

Non il venditore mascherato da CEO.

La differenza?

Prima: "Spero che credano alle mie bugie"
Dopo: "Non vedo l'ora di mostrare i risultati"

Ancora recitando il teatro della pipeline per il tuo board?

Classico.

3 mesi di promesse vuote.
Zero sistema.
Solo speranze e PowerPoint.

Ma ho salvato abbastanza founder da avere un playbook pronto.

Ecco esattamente cosa dire (e fare) per i prossimi 90 giorni:

**GIORNI 1-30: Stop alle bugie, inizia con la verità**

Di' al board:
"Abbiamo un problema di execution, non di prodotto. Ecco il piano."

Poi:
- Audit brutale della pipeline attuale
- Quanti deal sono VERI vs fantasmi?
- Chi è il decision maker in ogni deal?
- Quale stage del processo sta uccidendo i deal?

Il board apprezza l'onestà più delle stronzate corporate.

**GIORNI 31-60: Sistema, non speranze**

Installa un processo che funziona:

✅ Discovery framework (non "raccontami di te")
✅ Qualification MEDDIC (non "sembra interessato")
✅ Demo strutturate (non 45 slide sul chi siamo)
✅ Business case congiunto (non "ti mando la proposta")
✅ Mutual action plan (non "fammi sapere")

Smetti di improvvisare. Inizia a eseguire.

**GIORNI 61-90: Scala quello che funziona**

Ora hai dati VERI:
- Conversion rate per stage
- Tempo medio per chiudere
- Deal size reale (non fantasia)
- Quali messaggi convertono

Raddoppia su quello che funziona.
Taglia quello che non funziona.

**IL TRUCCO SEGRETO:**

Non promettere revenue nei prossimi 90 giorni.

Prometti un SISTEMA che genererà revenue per i prossimi 90 trimestri.

I board intelligenti investono in sistemi, non in miracoli.

Un mio cliente, azienda SaaS di Milano, ha usato questo playbook 6 mesi fa.

Oggi:
- Pipeline 3x
- Close rate dal 12% al 35%
- Il board gli ha aumentato il budget sales del 200%

La differenza?

Prima: "Speriamo di chiudere €500K"
Ora: "Ecco perché chiuderemo €500K"

Ancora preparando slide piene di "potenziali opportunità"?

Il board vuole vedere execution, non Excel.
