It's also given me great appreciation for life and made me grateful.

Money only solves your money problems.

It can't repair or build trust.
It can't make people love you.

It can't even solve your money problems IF character flaws cause them.

Get enough to live a stress-free life, but not so much that you create more stress.

Because remember: Some people are so poor that money is all they have.

Everything is simultaneously a big joke and deadly serious.

If this doesn't make sense, then you either play too much or not enough

There will be times when people want you to change your mind or opinion because it makes them uncomfortable. 

You might think about backtracking or changing your opinion, but you have to remember:

The moment they gave you the ultimatum to change, the relationship between two free-thinking people was over. 

Either you cave and resentment dissolves the friendship over time, or you resist and it ends immediately.

The best lies have a small grain of truth and are spread by people with just above-average intelligence.

They are smart enough to make a convincing argument, but not smart (or willing) enough to realize the holes in it.

And sadly, neither are most people, so they fall for it.

Software Engineer III

In my role as a Software Engineer II at Ramsey Solutions, I function as a full-stack engineer, taking a comprehensive approach to web application development. My expertise spans both front-end and back-end development, utilizing a diverse set of technologies. On the front-end, I specialize ReactJS, JavaScript and Hotwire, crafting dynamic and user-centric interfaces. For the back-end, my focus includes working with Ruby On Rails, MySQL, Postgres, ensuring robust and scalable database solutions. 

As an integral member of the Ramsey Education Software Engineering Team, I contribute to both the LMS system, Ramsey Homeschool and the Ramsey Classroom platform, which collectively serve over 600,000 students and counting, across the United States. My role encompasses the full lifecycle of software development - from initial concept and design, through development and testing, to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Collaborating closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers, I help to translate user needs into effective software solutions. My work is not just about coding; it involves problem-solving, innovating, and continuously improving our products to enhance the educational experiences of students nationwide. Through my contributions, I am dedicated to empowering students and educators with reliable, effective, and accessible learning tools.

Developed clean and responsive UIs for the FlureeDB Graphical User Interface. Together with our UI/UX Engineer, I led the Frontend efforts to revamp the FlureeDB GUI and as a result improved User Experience.

Converted User Interface mockups  to build reusable components with interactive functionalities using Frontend Technologies - ReactJS, TailwindCSS and Typescript. 

Built SSR web pages for better SEO  using ReactJS, TailwindCSS and NextJS.

Developed responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, Vanilla Javascript for DOM manipulation and Bootstrap V4.

I have a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from the University of Sierra Leone, and I am pursuing a Certificate in Software Design and Architecture from the University Of Alberta through Coursera, which is part my of me acquiring master's level CS knowledge via self-study. 
the goal is to share my professional and learning journey on my blog (work in progress) and social media platforms to inspire others. 

I have over two years of experience as a Frontend Engineer at Fluree, PBC, where I developed clean, interactive, and responsive UIs for the FlureeDB Graphical User Interface, using ReactJS, TailwindCSS, and Typescript. I also built SSR web pages for better SEO using the NextJS framework. 

Additionally, I was a Full-stack edX BootCamp Instructor, teaching students the MERN stack, which consists of MongoDB, ExpressJS, ReactJS, and NodeJS. I enjoy mentoring and empowering aspiring web developers, and I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies.
