After graduating from high school in Diamond Bar, California, Ed Mylett attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton. A student-athlete who balanced his studies in communications with playing baseball for the NCAA Division I Pacific Tigers, Ed Mylett graduated from Pacific as a three-time All-American and the NCAA leader in stolen bases. Following college, he worked as a youth counselor for underprivileged boys.

Ed joined World Financial Group (WFG) in 1992. Because of his outstanding ability to inspire leaders, Ed Mylett quickly advanced at WFG, becoming one of the company's youngest CEO Marketing Directors in only a few years. After he achieved the top level of a Senior Executive Vice Chairman and then joined the WFG leadership team as a Chairman's Council member and as the Director of Field Leadership at WFG. 

Ed has a passion for mentoring and coaching others on what it takes to become a champion in all areas of life. He has shared the stage and has very close personal relationships with other business legends such as Tony Robbins, John Maxwell, Phil Knight and many others.

As founder of a small general contracting company, I've been successful in providing a full service concierge for my clients, leveraging ROI. From planning through execution to final completion of punch items, I'm there every steps of the way for my clients. Leveraging over two decades of new construction and remodeling experience in residential and commercial applications, with additional facility management experience across various US markets. I've had the opportunity to lead the strategic direction and contract management of facility operations, aligning them with our long-term business goals and securing favorable contract terms. My role involved initiating comprehensive programs to optimize the use of our building assets, covering everything from space planning to maintenance. Additionally, I conducted financial analyses and negotiations for leasehold improvements, occupancy costs, and allowances, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for our organization.
I've also taken steps to ensure the resilience of our facilities against adverse weather conditions and crafted emergency response protocols to keep our operations running smoothly even during challenging times.
My responsibilities extended to managing over 300K square feet of prime office real estate spread across three owned buildings and multiple leased spaces in various locations nationwide, including Houston, Spokane, Miami, Green Bay, Louisville, and Salt Lake City.
To enhance operational efficiency, I've been actively involved in managing various aspects of financial operations, including rent, utilities, office equipment, and capital expenditures. In this capacity, I've developed risk mitigation strategies and achieved significant savings in annual office operational costs, contributing to the financial health of the organization.

Senior Facilities Manager

I had privilege of leading capital improvement projects that have significantly enhanced our facilities, such as elevator modernization, main cooling tower replacement, parking garage resurfacing, and interior build-outs. In this capacity, I've managed a dedicated team of ten employees, including engineers, contractors, and facility maintenance staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
My role also involved executing financial analysis and conducting adept contract negotiations, overseeing vendor bidding for property contracts, and ensuring cost-effective service agreements. Through these efforts, we've been able to reduce annual maintenance expenses, contributing to overall cost savings for the organization.
Furthermore, I've focused on enhancing space efficiency by directly managing multiple Houston campuses, which encompass high-rise and field offices totaling approximately 318K square feet across 12 acres. These spaces are segmented into office, lab, and storage/shop areas, and I've been instrumental in optimizing their usage.
To support these endeavors, I've administered a substantial two-million-dollar budget for executing facility operations and property improvements. This has been achieved through strategic planning and effective cost management, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet our goals and objectives.

Facilities Manager

Here, my role involved boosting U.S. regional operations support and optimizing space utilization. I took pride in building strong relationships with landlords, ensuring property improvements, and maintaining all-important lease documentation.
In addition, I was the go-to contact for our 900K square foot complex in Houston, I streamlined various operations, including security, inspections, and vendor services. Working closely with NOV Corporate's real estate and legal teams, I processed lease agreements and provided valuable insights to senior executives about our facility strategies.
My collaboration with the HS&E team was crucial in enhancing employee safety and strengthening facility evacuation protocols. I also managed to cut operating costs significantly by auditing and renegotiating vendor maintenance contracts without compromising service quality.
Additionally, I oversaw a fleet of over 2,000 units, increasing fleet utilization efficiency and operational capacity for our service personnel. Leading transformative projects and property enhancements across multiple US facilities allowed me to achieve critical project milestones and improve delivery times.
