Mr. Ed Mylett is one of the top business leaders, peak performance experts, and global keynote speakers in the world today. While many leaders and speakers just “talk the talk,” Ed is a team-made millionaire who has built one of the most prolific financial service businesses the world has ever seen. 

After graduating from high school in Diamond Bar, California, Ed Mylett attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton. A student-athlete who balanced his studies in communications with playing baseball for the NCAA Division I Pacific Tigers, Ed Mylett graduated from Pacific as a three-time All-American and the NCAA leader in stolen bases. Following college, he worked as a youth counselor for underprivileged boys.

Ed joined World Financial Group (WFG) in 1992. Because of his outstanding ability to inspire leaders, Ed Mylett quickly advanced at WFG, becoming one of the company's youngest CEO Marketing Directors in only a few years. After he achieved the top level of a Senior Executive Vice Chairman and then joined the WFG leadership team as a Chairman's Council member and as the Director of Field Leadership at WFG. 

Ed has a passion for mentoring and coaching others on what it takes to become a champion in all areas of life. He has shared the stage and has very close personal relationships with other business legends such as Tony Robbins, John Maxwell, Phil Knight and many others.

I recruited and managed volunteer production teams in Audio, Video and Lighting technology over 5 weekly services and 75 one-time events per year. I was in charge of integration of new technologies in our 800 person capacity Worship Centers, classrooms, and youth rooms at two church campuses and for 40 staff members.

I worked at 2 locations, providing a high quality listening experience and technical troubleshooting for 4 regular weekend services averaging 4000 weekly attenders. I mixed regularly on a Digico SD8 + Yamaha CL5 sound boards.

I mixed for a national college music tour as their Front of House engineer using an Avid SC48 digital mixing console, ProTools 10, along with designing light shows on a Jands Vista + M1 Console.

I conceptualized, wrote and produced 100+ radio segments and hosted a regular radio show that included custom built PSAs and commercials. I recorded and edited this content using Adobe Audition and ProTools while leading the student radio production team.

88.1 WAJC Radio Producer

I produced events including concerts, theater shows, conferences, and large scale dance recitals. I regularly mixed on a 64-channel Midas H3000 board for live audio events, while running video content through ProPresenter and light shows through a Grand MA 2 light board

Youth With A Mission

I recruited for our non-profit volunteer training programs using Salesforce and helped organize data + landing pages for new prospects. I was part of a team that created original video/audio/print projects for a national non-profit tour in Australia that reached 2 million people. I worked on projects with proficiency in Final Cut Pro 7, Logic, AfterEffects, Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. I led a team of volunteers who managed website and social media using Wordpress + HootSuite.

Don't let the nerd glasses fool you: I didn’t come to financial planning the way most do. 

In 2008, my parents lost most of their retirement savings by trusting the wrong financial advisor. Watching them start over made me realize how important it is to work with people of integrity.

In 2012, my younger sister got diagnosed with a rare medical condition, forcing her to shut down a business that was just starting to take off. 

In 2019, my sister nearly died for the 2nd time and my parents poured their last dollars into experimental treatments. The financial strain led to their divorce. Thankfully, my sister survived.

In 2020, at the height of COVID, I took a leap and switched my career from engineering to financial planning. 

I had to get off the sidelines and start helping the people I cared about.

I’d been through too much to not be changed. 

Had experienced how finances touch the deepest parts of our lives.
