After graduating from high school in Diamond Bar, California, Ed Mylett attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton. A student-athlete who balanced his studies in communications with playing baseball for the NCAA Division I Pacific Tigers, Ed Mylett graduated from Pacific as a three-time All-American and the NCAA leader in stolen bases. Following college, he worked as a youth counselor for underprivileged boys.

Ed joined World Financial Group (WFG) in 1992. Because of his outstanding ability to inspire leaders, Ed Mylett quickly advanced at WFG, becoming one of the company's youngest CEO Marketing Directors in only a few years. After he achieved the top level of a Senior Executive Vice Chairman and then joined the WFG leadership team as a Chairman's Council member and as the Director of Field Leadership at WFG. 

Ed has a passion for mentoring and coaching others on what it takes to become a champion in all areas of life. He has shared the stage and has very close personal relationships with other business legends such as Tony Robbins, John Maxwell, Phil Knight and many others.

ביום שישי הרצאתי בכיתה של הבן שלי בכתה ד׳. 

הכנתי פעילות מגניבה על AI, בנינו שיר ביחד, והכל עבר מצוין.

לפחות ככה חשבתי.

רק שעתיים אחרי שיצאתי, נזכרתי בעיניים של הילדים, ושאלתי את עצמי שאלה: האם באמת ראיתי אותם?

נכנסתי לכיתה עם הכובע של ה״מלמד״, המחנך, המקצוען. 
התמקדתי בלהעביר את החומר ולהתקדם. 
אבל האם זה היה הדבר הנכון?

יש משפט שכולנו מכירים: 

אנשים לא זוכרים מה אמרת להם, הם זוכרים איך גרמת להם להרגיש.

וכשאני חושב על זה עכשיו, המיינדסט שלי היה צריך להיות שונה לגמרי מההתחלה - לתת לילדים להרגיש שאני באמת רואה אותם.

הפעילות עצמה זרמה מצוין, הילדים שיתפו פעולה, שאלו שאלות, ונהנו. 
אבל האם הם ראו בעיניים שלי שאני באמת רואה אותם? 
האם הרגישו נראים?

זה לא משנה כמה מקצועיים אנחנו, כמה מצליחים בעסקים, או כמה פעמים אנחנו מרצה בבית ספר. 

בסוף היום, השיעור האולטימטיבי הוא כשאנחנו מצליחים גם להעביר את החומר, גם לחנך, גם לבדר, וגם, אולי בעיקר לגרום לילדים להרגיש שמישהו באמת רואה אותם.

Grill & Grow 🔥 
אתמול Gal Agadi ואני אירחנו מפגש אינטימי של כ־20 יזמים, כולל חברים ולקוחות של Contrast ושל Gravity החברות שלנו.

אנשים ממגוון עולמות ורקעים, חלקם פאונדרים או מנכ״לים של חברות סופר מוצלחות, חלקם גם חלק ממסטרמיינד שלנו של אבות יזמים, חלקם היועצים הקרובים שלנו, וחלקם פשוט חברים למסע היזמי.

היה אוכל ממש (אבל ממשששש) טוב,
אבל מה שבאמת הפך את הערב למיוחד היה משהו אחר...

בשלב מסוים פשוט עמדתי בצד והסתכלתי. 
ושמתי לב למשהו מיוחד ממש..
אנשים התערבבו, שוחחו, צחקו.. 

האנשים האלה, כנראה לעולם לא היו נפגשים סתם ככה.
לא במקרה, 
לא ברחוב, 
וכנראה אפילו לא באירועי נטוורקינג שגרתיים. 

והנה הם כאן, יושבים ביחד, מחליפים רעיונות, ויוצרים חיבור אנושי אמיתי.

והאמת היא שבסופו של דבר, 
זו הסיבה שבגללה Gravity ו-Contrast בכלל קיימות. 
זו באמת הסיבה שבגללה אנחנו קמים בבוקר. 

מעבר לאסטרטגיה, מעבר למוצר או לתוכן, מעבר לכל היעדים העסקיים - אנחנו כאן כדי לחבר בין אנשים. 
לבנות מרחבים שבהם יזמים מרגישים פחות לבד ויותר חלק ממשהו גדול יותר.

אתמול היה לנו הכבוד לארח את הגרסה הבאה שלו, וברור לי שזו רק ההתחלה.

עוד מפגשים כאלה בדרך.

עוד חיבורים בין אנשים מדהימים.

וכל מה שזה שנדרש, זה רק ליצור את המרחב והתנאים לקסם הזה שקורה מעצמו.

אני זוכר את היום הזה כאילו היה אתמול.

ארגנתי מיטאפ על בניית פרסונה וקידום עצמי בתעשייה כמעצבים. 
הגעתי למקום, וכשהתקרבתי לרוטשילד, ראיתי משהו מוזר ממש... 

צד אחד של הרחוב היה מפוצץ באנשים.

לאט לאט התקרבתי ופתאום מישהו קרא לי מתוך התור הארוך: "היי, שגיא!"

ובאותו רגע קלטתי - כל האנשים האלה עומדים בתור למיטאפ שאני ארגנתי. 
מאות אנשים הגיעו פיזית לתל אביב, חיכו בסבלנות, והכל בגלל אימייל אחד ששלחתי.

לא ידעתי אז כמה זה חזק 
אבל זה הכוח של בניית מותג אישי.

יחד עם זאת לקראת 2026, אני רואה תופעה מעניינת: יותר ויותר אנשים משתמשים ב-AI לכתיבת תוכן. 
אנשים שמעולם לא פרסמו דבר בלינקדאין פתאום מציפים את הפיד.

הבעיה? 

התוכן שלהם צועק "נכתב על ידי AI" מכל פיקסל.

ולמה זה קורה? 

לא בגלל שהם משתמשים ב-AI, כולם משתמשים! 
אלא כי הם אף פעם לא פיתחו שפה משלהם. 
מעולם לא ניסו לכתוב בעצמם. 
אין להם tone of voice ייחודי שה-AI יכול ללמוד ולחקות.

האם אפשר לעשות את זה טוב יותר? בוודאי.

אבל קודם צריך למצוא את הקול הייחודי שלכם.
וזה לא קורה ביום אחד. 

אפשר להשתמש ב-AI, זה בהחלט עוזר. 
אבל תשקיעו באינפוט, תקראו את הפוסט, ערכו אותו. הוסיפו מעצמכם.

כן, זה לוקח זמן. אבל זה שווה את זה.

יש אנשים שחושבים יותר מדי, ויש כאלה שלא חושבים בכלל.
 והמרחק ביניהם? 
לא כזה גדול כמו שנדמה.

למעשה הם שני צדדים של אותו מטבע. 

בצד אחד נמצא האדם הגמיש מדי. 
הוא פתוח לכל רעיון, מקבל כל פידבק, תמיד חושב "אולי זה נכון". 
נשמע מצוין, לא? 

אבל כשזה מגיע להחלטות, הוא פשוט לא מסוגל לחתוך. 

"זה טוב... אבל גם האופציה השנייה טובה... ואולי בכלל כדאי לשקול..." 

הישיבות מתארכות לשעות, ושום דבר לא מתקדם.

בצד השני - ה"יודע-כל". 
חד, פרגמטי, החלטי. 
אבל ברגע שמישהו מעז לערער עליו? אין סיכוי שישנה את דעתו. 
הוא קצר רוח, חסר סבלנות, ומשוכנע שכולם טועים - רק הוא צודק.

כישראלים, יש לנו נטייה מסוימת להיות הסוג השני. 
מכירים את הטיפוס?

אז איפה האיזון הנכון?

גמישות מחשבתית היא יתרון עצום, במיוחד בעולם דינמי ומורכב כמו שלנו. 
אבל כמו בקונג-פו, שם עובדים על המעבר בין מים לאש, בין רכות לנחישות - גם כאן האיזון קריטי.

צריך לדעת לנוע בין שני הקצוות: לחשוב בגמישות, לשקול אפשרויות, להקשיב לדעות... 

אבל כשמגיע רגע ההחלטה? 
להיות כמו סמוראי.

החוכמה של הסמוראי עם החדות של מכת החרב שלו.

זה איזון שלא תמיד קל למצוא.. 

אבל ההבנה שאנחנו צריכים לשאוף לשניהם - גמישות בחשיבה ונחישות בהחלטה זה הצעד הראשון בדרך.
