Bitcoin holds a significant place in Ed Juline's personal and financial life for several reasons. Firstly, it's essential to distinguish between Bitcoin, the protocol, and Bitcoin, the asset. The protocol, a groundbreaking blockchain technology, represents a leap in how we perceive and manage digital transactions. It's decentralized, transparent, and secure, eliminating the need for traditional intermediaries like banks. This technology has the potential to revolutionize not just finance but many aspects of our digital lives.

On the other hand, Bitcoin, the asset, the cryptocurrency, is an investment and a store of value. It's a new asset class akin to digital gold, providing a hedge against inflation and currency devaluation. Its limited supply and growing acceptance add to its appeal as a long-term investment.

However, for Bitcoin to realize its full potential, it needs to cross the chasm in the technology adoption curve. This chasm is the gap between early adopters and the early majority. Many technologies fail to make this leap, falling into obscurity. For Bitcoin, crossing this chasm means gaining widespread acceptance not just among tech enthusiasts and speculators but among the general public. It involves not only recognizing Bitcoin as a viable investment but also understanding and trusting the technology behind it.

The journey across this chasm is fraught with challenges, including regulatory hurdles, market volatility, and a need for better understanding and education about cryptocurrency. CHACR is the British Army's independent think tank which provides a host of services from general development to executive support on critical decision making. My Role as XO is to resource/project plan a budget of over £650k worth of outputs whilst improving narrative arcs, customer pathways and overall engagement metrics.

I was the Battalion Second in Command for 1RGR whilst on its rotation as 16X's very high readiness Air Maneouvre Battle Group. I was responsible for coordinating all activity within the unit and meeting the very high standards for both operational deployments as well as the financial oversight of the unit's activities.

Responsible for 145 personnel. Accountable for the delivery of all training and capability objectives to be the UK’s lead force for any international crisis. Responsible for direction, operational capability and culture. Led all pre-deployment training for a complex mission as part of the NATO forces in Afghanistan for the Battalion. Performed numerous rapid engagements to insurgent complex attacks and mass casualty serials whilst oversaw the day to day operations of the Company. Received a commendation for rescuing over 200 foreign aid workers in a notable complex suicide attack.

Led a diverse, multi-national team of five NATO Officers who were charged with delivering executive planning support to a Headquarters of over 450 personnel and over 25k under command. Principle advisor to the Head of Intelligence within the Headquarters for all organisational, planning and risk matters.

Established policies from logistics, HR, finance, communications, administrative support and critically the day-to-day operations of the mission. Principle advisor to the mission Commander. Successfully planned, organised and established the UK Mission in Somalia. Key interlocutor between UK Defence objectives and UN, AU, EU, US and Somali goals. Commanded the response for several crisis’ involving complex attacks and risk to life events.
