Everyone's teaching AI to think like humans.
 
DeepMind did the opposite.
 
They taught it to dream like a system.
 
Most people see AI as the dreamer.
I see it as the mirror.
 
In 2016, AlphaGo made a move no human would make.
Move 37.
Game 2.
 
Experts called it a mistake.
It looked wrong.
Felt wrong.
 
Then it won the game.
 
But here's what that moment really revealed:

I watched my AI agent do $2,400 worth of work 

while I sat at my daughter's gymnastics class.

No exaggeration.

I had this moment with my AI agent last week.

I was stuck in our CRM building a report.
The UI was clunky.
The conditional logic made no sense.
And every time GPT suggested a rule,
I’d check the dropdown and it simply wasn’t there.

So I opened the CRM inside Atlas.
I asked my agent what was going on.
It looked at the screen and said,
"You actually need an automation for clean data. Want me to build it?"

Sure. Go for it.

A few minutes later it’s clicking around.
Slowly, but with intent.
Doing something I’d never done before.
Something I’d have needed to learn.

And it worked.

So I queued another task.
And another.
And another.

Fast forward an hour:
I’m at my daughter’s gymnastics class
with five Atlas browser tabs open,
each one quietly grinding through workflows
that used to eat my afternoons alive.

Here’s what hit me in that moment:

We complain when superhuman intelligence takes 20 seconds.

Think about how insane that is.

Kevin and I were testing a new model the other day. 

What hit us wasn’t the speed, or even the quality.  
It was the contrast.

One tab was instant, nuanced, deeply contextual.  
The other was still “thinking,” twenty minutes later.  

And that tiny gap?  
That’s the future sneaking up on us. 

We say, “this is the worst it’s ever going to be.”  
But tech doesn’t just go up and to the right.  
It gets better, then worse, then better again.  

Progress is lumpy.  
But directionally, it’s undeniable.

What impressed me most:  
→ It retained a huge amount of context  
→ It retrieved answers instantly  
→ The writing felt natural and precise  
→ It mapped itself to the document like it was part of it  

This is why people are excited.  
Not hype.  
Access.  

The point of access is where everything changes.  
When friction drops to near zero,  
behavior shifts overnight.  

The same way broadband unlocked YouTube.  
The same way the iPhone unlocked the app economy.  
The same way agentic AI will unlock workflows we can’t imagine yet.  

We’re not just getting smarter models.  
We’re getting closer distance between intent and output.  

And once that gap collapses,

 Designing AI Systems That Think With You

The person I feared becoming  

was the system I had already built.  

For years, fear drove the algorithm.

I thought I was improving.  
But I was automating limitation.  

“Not smart enough.”  
“Not ready yet.”  
“Not enough.”  

Each belief ran silently  
like legacy code I never refactored.  

It worked, technically.  
But it produced the wrong outcomes.  

I called it “humility.”  
It was just poor configuration.  

Every system runs on assumptions.  
Every leader runs on stories.  

If your inner OS says  
“I’m not capable,”  
you’ll filter out every signal that proves you are.  

If your process says  
“Wait until perfect,”  
you’ll delay the experiment that shows you can.  

And if your architecture is built on fear,

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱. 
Two people with independent lives, busy careers, and different goals — trying to build something real together.

After speaking with Yvonne Woi, Dating & Relationship Coach, here’s what I’ve learned about love in the modern world:

𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Many of us are too deep into our careers, or too late into our habits, to make room for love.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.
No matter how compatible you are, if you can’t express yourself, you’re just two people talking about logistics, not life.

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Modern love celebrates strong, independent individuals. But strength without softness makes connection impossible.

𝗔𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆.
Some 25-year-olds are old souls. Some 40-year-olds still love like they’re 18. What matters is alignment — of goals, pace, and openness.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆. 
Yvonne shared that strong, independent women still need to feel safe enough to show vulnerability — and it’s often up to men to create that space.

Yvonne said something that really made me pause:

Its almost December and I can feel the jingle bells already..

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵.

It’s not glamorous.
It doesn’t get you likes or applause.
But when done right, it works.

Many marketers today prefer inbound, content, or ads.
And they’re not wrong, inbound builds trust, and ads scale reach.
𝗔𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗲, 𝗜 𝗴𝗼 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁. 

But here’s the truth I’ve learned after running a cold outreach campaign for one client for 5 years in the recruitment industry.
Cold outreach is a necessary evil.

𝗜𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁.

It starts conversations you’d never have otherwise.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

As we head into 2026, I’m open to taking on a few consulting roles,
𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀.

I was at a journaling class the other day and realized my handwriting has severely declined...

I saw this carousel from Kaizen Executive the other day,

“Skills that are quietly disappearing from the modern world.”

Things like:
– Writing in cursive
– Using a physical map
– Driving manual cars
– Sewing a button
– Reading an analogue clock

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲.
𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀, 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝘀, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 —

It was a casual weekend chat with Kevin Goh Tony Ting Thomas H. 

We started talking about China, content, morning routines and then...

I wasn’t expecting to hear stories like these.

Here are a few of the stories that stayed with me:

1. Thomas H. shared how a termination meeting turned violent, and he suddenly found the employee’s hands around his neck. Using his MUAY THAI moves he managed to diffuse the situation. 
 
2. Tony Ting had to talk down an employee standing on a building ledge, trying to keep him alive while waiting for emergency services
 
3. A candidate interview so uncomfortable that Tony had to sit through it while fighting nausea in a tiny room with no ventilation
 
4. Kevin Goh on how companies using feng shui, birth dates, and even birth times in HR policy
