I got my first iPhone and started creating YouTube videos from my bedroom.

So... I ghosted everyone for New Year's. My bad.

Turns out moving is still the worst thing you can voluntarily do to yourself. Spent the last week surrounded by boxes, a lot of chores, and way too much bubble wrap. 

But I'm finally unpacked (mostly), and ready to rejoin the land of the living. 

She's back. She's so back.

What did I miss? Fill me in – I've got about a week's worth of scrolling to catch up on. 

Also happy new year to everyone. Let's get the bag!! 

PS: My new house :) Grateful.

I don’t do resolutions, but I do have habits I want to build, some goals I want to take home. A big one for this year is waking up early.   

Since time immemorial, I’ve had a sleep schedule of an white guy except I live and operate from India lol. And I don’t “need” to stay awake till 6 in the morning for the fun of it. 

So since I have moved to a new place I have been casually waking up at 7 like it’s nobody’s business lol. And I’m loving the thrill that comes with it. Thinking about all the worms I’m going to eat as an early bird. (sounded funnier in my head) 

So here are a few things I’m trying that helps me wake up on time- 

- Having a simple winding down routine. I journal. 
- Warm lights on after 8. White lights really test you lol. 
- Not scrolling the phone to compensate some “me” time

That’s it! 

Oh and my cook arrives at 7AM so I gotta wake up, so strong motivation. Covered all the bases.

There was a time you could write a basic rags-to-riches post and get 500 likes. 

But today, the playbook has flipped on it's head. 

So, if your content strategy looks like 2X-TOFU, 1X- MOFU, 1-BOFU, listen up. Throw it out of the window, it ain't working anyway.  

3 new rules of the land:   

- Linkedin now values niche discussion. Are you creating content that people in a specific niche would like to talk and have a discourse about? Would they share it with their team? Generic posts are more likely to be suppressed. 

- How much time are people spending around your content aka dwell time. This should be high. Use engaging formats like videos, lead magnets, carousels. 

- Comments >>> Likes. Therefore, content that generates more engagement will win. Think posts giving away insane value, and also has a lead magnet people can comment to receive. 

What are you observing on LinkedIn right now?

2026 predictions for LinkedIn- 

> Ads all the way. Since the organic reach is down we’ll see more personal brands do ads. 

> Non-AI content. I alone scroll past 50 posts because I see some classic AI formations. I deeply believe human content will be a moat this year. 

> Videos are sooo backk! 

> Infuse your personality. Give people something to chew on. Bland content keeps you forgettable. And the accounts banking on AI slop virality they’re going to stop working too. 

> Engagement is more powerful than ever. Spend genuine 45 mins to 1 hr on the platform connect with people, share your thoughts in other’s comment section, check who viewed your profile, talk to them. 

> The unstructured content. One that feels like someone wrote while having their morning coffee. Not perfected to the T.
